I’ve been to Starbucks all up and down the east coast and can say that the staff at this Starb’s is THE MOST hospitable, friendly, efficient and, dare I say, caring?? It is such a good place to come. Certainly my official comfort zone in Somerville. Thanks, everybody!

I don’t normally write negative reviews but when it’s due, it’s due. My wife and I typically walk in Somerville and go to Starbucks maybe once every two weeks. My wife usually knows what she wants and orders quickly, me on the other hand never really know what I want because I’m not “Starbucks savvy”. I decided to have a café Americano. I really didn’t know what it was so I asked the girl if it comes with milk, she said yes and I said what are my milk options? She rattled off five or 10 different options. I jokingly said is that it? I quickly decided to go with sweet cream. I said to her the menu changes, I never know what to get and I haven’t been here in a few weeks. She quickly responded “Go somewhere else” in the next breath. She said “Starbucks is too expensive anyway”. “Better yet go make your coffee at home”. Well we do make our coffee at home but sometimes we enjoy what I call a “fancy coffee” with our walk. Anyway, instead of saying welcome back, we’re happy to have you and helping me with our order she told me to go somewhere else. We are already felt guilty about spending $13 on 2 coffees we didn’t have to be reminded by a nasty girl who was obviously having a bad day. I feel bad that she was having a bad day really I do. But if you’re standing at the counter you represent Starbucks and you’re supposed to help people and not turn them away. There were a few other people in line and we didn’t wanna make a scene. We later called and talked to the manager of the store which was equally nasty and never even apologized for her behavior. There are at least six other coffee options on Main St., Somerville. I’m not really sure why Starbucks has these nasty people on the front line dealing with their customers. I guess the web orders are enough for business that it doesn’t matter about the walk up business we waited 10 minutes for our coffee and nasty service at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. The upside, the barista that made our coffee was very pleasant and offered us whip cream and a topping. Very sad because I do like my fancy coffee every now and then. The flipside is not all the staff are like this and not all the Starbucks are like this either. I’ve had Starbucks all over the world, but I’m just not savvy about the menu choices. Sometimes I just need a little bit of help not an attitude.

Friendly, clean, and buoyant ‘sbucks with a community vibe smack dab in downtown Somerville. Roomy with nice natural light for lingering. Personable staff with a human touch. Fun board filled with pictures of locals. Coffee strong as heck as with ‘em all.

This place changed a lot since the new store manager took over. I’ve been a loyal customer to this specific store. It’s diabolical to me that you need to buy something first before using bathroom. While other store location you can use it freely without asking a code. I understand the point if someone made a mess or vandalized it, but as a loyal customer, it felt unwelcoming. Now I’m hesitant before tipping (which I would do every purchase) because of this kind of service they have. And Robin needs to reflect on the customers that visit this store. Many are pet owners which Robin has made it clear she does not like animals…
All around the usual crowd has noticed changes for the worse and with such an eventful community I feel like I’m going to have to start taking my business elsewhere.
P.S
To your store manager Robin. Your all employees work so hard during rush hour. As a store manager stopped nitpicking if you wanna give compliment give it to all coz that doesn’t mean one is busy reheating bake stuff the other is not busy taking orders. You should know more better as a store manager. I’m just surprised that kind of behavior. Coz the moment she said it other just like make faces.

I wanted to get a regular coffee with not even a lot of steamed milk and they wanted to charge me for a drink which contains half a cup of milk which is not fair to the customer Starbucks is getting rich or for the peoples desire for coffee what a shame there’s other places that sell just as much great coffee and cheaper and let’s not forget Maria was the one who took care of me she did not budge not great customer service

A guy who work (long hair) refused to give me a glass of water. He told me oh I’m sorry you need to buy something to give it. I been starbucks customer since many years ago, spend a hundreds dollars every months & I never get it a NOT for a simpli glass of water. This is absolutely insane.

I wasted my break coming here. They did not order chai this week and then blamed it on pumpkin spice latte is coming out. None of that makes any sense. I will not be coming back. I do not order the most popular thing on the menu?

One of my favorite Starbucks, no matter which one I go to. The one in Bridgewater Village: , but the this one in Somerville the good thing about that Starbucks is its much closer to where I live for only 5 minutes.
