I am writing to formally express my frustration regarding repeated incorrect orders from your location.
The first time I ordered via DoorDash, my order was incorrect. I attempted to call the store multiple times with no answer and ultimately had to drive to the location with my two-year-old child in the middle of a snowstorm to have it corrected—only for the replacement order to still be wrong.
The second time I ordered, I called ahead to clearly explain how the drink should be prepared, yet it again arrived incorrect. Despite my reservations, I placed a third order, factoring in the distance from Boston to Weymouth and paying extra to ensure my drink would be made correctly.
I paid $19.00 for this drink, including additional charges, and specifically requested:
Extra caramel on the top and bottom
Extra crunch on the top and bottom
The cup lined with caramel
Salted caramel protein cold foam
A straw included in the bag
Unfortunately, none of these requests were followed, including the items I paid extra for. Instead, the drink arrived incorrect once again, with whipped cream I did not request and no straw, leaving me unable to drink it properly.
This is now the third incorrect order, and it feels as though delivery instructions are being ignored entirely. Delivery orders should receive the same care and attention as in-person orders, especially when customers take the time to call and clearly communicate their requests.
I am extremely disappointed and upset with this repeated experience and gladly will take my chances ordering from boston. Thank you
Starbucks very obviously has the technical capability of refunding your card or cash if necessary, but they choose not to because you’ve already spent that money there and they don’t want to give it back. They know customers who order ahead are on their way to work and don’t have time to stand around and wait or argue about this crappy practice.
I have gone back to Starbucks once since this and it was only to get my free drink. When you don’t have the product that was promised you should either automatically refund the method used to purchase that product or you should ask the customer their preference. Absolutely nobody would prefer a gift card to their own cash back, so that’s why they don’t do it.
At end of a complaint they will say “well the next time you come in, let us know and we’ll make you another drink.” When you ask how that will be assured as the staff are different depending on when you go, “oh well let our team know.”
The reviews aren’t consistent with the experience here.
-Poor customer service
-Inconsistent quality of drinks
-Poor ambience
-Poor workflow given location setting being in the middle of a small retail plaza. This store has no drive-through for how slow and inefficient the workflow is.
-Poor administration and management
-Lack of accountability when patrons present complaints
