We happened upon Star Provisions by accident. It has wonderful counter service and plenty of open seating. There is a large assortment of higher end market items and gift-y options.
We ordered the Pizza with Lemon and cream sauce because it sounded interesting. It was tangy, creamy and wonderfully balanced. The crust was the perfect balance of crunchy and chewy – with just the right amount of char.
We also ordered the chicken salad which was absolutely phenomenal! The avocado was creamy and each component added freshness. I particularly loved the pickled onions and fresh herbs.
If I lived nearby this would be a regular place for me, the latte I had was creamy and delicious. I was sad that I couldn’t try all the beautiful pastries in the case as well.
Parking is plentiful and the staff was friendly and fast. Make sure to stop on by if you are in the neighborhood.

Star Provisions Market is a gem that blends European café vibes with a farmers market feel. The breakfast options are delicious—solid eggs and meats, fresh pastry, and a coffee program that delivers smooth, well-pulled drinks. The pigs in a blanket a croissant was especially good. The sandwiches are equally strong, made with quality ingredients and great bread, perfect for a quick lunch or a relaxed bite.
I also love that they stock items you can take home for your kitchen—pantry staples, sauces, snacks, and more. It’s fun to browse and pick up something special to cook later, all in the same bright, welcoming space.
Great spot for breakfast or lunch, and a genuine market-meets-cafe experience. We’ll definitely be back.

Back in the 90’s before I retired, I would make a trek to Star Provisions (the old one) to pick up hard to find cheeses, the amazing bread, some Anson Mill polenta, and charcuterie. I think they also had wine, as well as a well stocked butcher shop and an amazing cheese shop with a dedicated cheese meister. For bread, they had baguettes, ficelles, epis, ciabattas as well as several hearth type loaves. Now, it’s about half the size, not much variety in the provisions, and seems to be more of a sandwich shop. I had the prosciutto, butter, and Parmesan sandwich, their take on the classic French jamon et beurre, but without cornichons. Pretty good, except the prosciutto was sliced too thickly. My wife had the clam chowder, but didn’t care for the addition of pancetta, lardons, or bacon, whichever it was. We had a couple of glasses of Sauvignon Blanc (pronounced Blanche by the cashier) which were pretty good for a California product. The seating arrangements were pretty spartan, either outside on picnic tables or inside. We had to get a small round table and sit on plastic stools as the proper tables with proper chairs were occupied by laptop toting guys who set up office there with their backpack on one chair and their laptop in the middle of the table, effectively occupying 3 spaces. Welcome to Starbucks, as all they consumed was coffee. I won’t be back. BTW, Bacchanalia in the back appears much smaller also. I’m guessing that new competitors have eaten away at the high end monopoly that this enterprise enjoyed and that may explain the downsizing. Too bad. It was great.

Well, I wish I could have take the “star” out of their name to improve my score. We came here because several other restaurants in the area had non existent parking. We parked in their spacious parking lot between a sea BMWs, Mercedes and Audis. One orders at the count and the food is bought out to you. Service was friendly and efficient. We had a “Give Thanks” sandwich and a “Thai Shrimp Salad” with an ice tea and a “giant”? 8 oz coke, that cost of almost $40. We had to find the forks, napkins and the coke was not served with a cup of ice. The price is high but the salad I had although tasty was very small. I had to eat my wife’s second half of her sandwich to get close to feeling satisfied. Looking around the room it looks like the sandwich and pizza are a bigger portions for the same price. Besides the restaurant they have a nice selection of deli items, preserves, sauces and gift items.

I usually have a perfect experience at Star Provisions; it’s one of my favorite spots, and the quality is consistently top-tier. But today’s cortado missed the mark a bit. The milk was steamed too long, so the foam came out a little stiff with larger bubbles instead of the velvety microfoam I’m used to here. The espresso tasted a bit stringent, which makes me think it may have been over extracted. Surprising, given how reliable they typically are and their connection to Bacchanalia.
I was also a bit surprised by the way the cappuccinos and flat whites were priced and sized. I believe they offered 10oz, 12oz, and 16oz options. Part of what defines those drinks is their traditional volume, just like a cortado, so those sizes felt more like latte portions.
That said, the staff is always warm, the atmosphere is great, and every other visit has been flawless. I’ll absolutely be back; today just seemed like an off day for the steamed milk espresso drinks.

We wanted a spot to post up while we did a little work and also grab a bite to eat at the same time. Our research led us to Star Provisions. It was our first time so we were excited to try it, especially since it smelled so good when you walked in. We ordered the granola and yogurt bowl, a chicken biscuit, and the Korean beef sandwich. The granola and yogurt bowl was nice, not too sweet, and the chicken biscuit was really good. My husband liked his sandwich but said the bread was almost too chewy and wished it had a bit more flavor, but he enjoyed it. Overall, we would definitely try the food again. The sore part of our experience was the customer service at the front counter. There were two employees working the front counter at the time of our visit. The guy seemed really quiet but made sure to greet us and answer our questions at least. However, the young woman did not greet us and seemed short and not very warm. As a woman, I never assume another woman has to do a show and dance of “politeness” to make others feel comfortable, but this is the hospitality industry. Being hospitable should be the bare minimum. My husband even went back to order something else with his coffee and asked if she had recommendations for pastries. She responded with a shrug, “I mean, it’s whatever you like.” She didn’t bother asking any questions about his preference or try to suggest something. You work at a bakery. Someone asking you for recommendations is not outlandish. He ended up just getting his coffee and leaving it at that. Didn’t want to spend anymore money. It just seemed we were not the type of customers she felt she needed provide above and beyond service to. The rest of the staff were nice, specifically the person who was going around delivering the food to each table. They were wearing a baseball cap. Based on the reviews it’s obvious Star Provisions is a local favorite and customers rave about the service. It was just not our experience. This was January 23rd, 2024 at around 2pm.

I went here on a Sunday morning looking for breakfast and pretty much fell in love with the place. They have a solid breakfast menu that’s sandwich forward (lunch options too). Their pastry case is amazing!! Everything looked incredible (fresh loaces of bread, sweets, and savories) and seemed to be priced lower than your average local bakery. The crispy chicken biscuit had some really good sweet and spicy pickles, was quite enjoyable overall. The ginger molasses cookie was huge, soft, and had strong flavors that popped.. 8 out of 10. The apple oatmeal bar was smooth, a little fudgy, had plenty of apple flavor coming through, and definitely exceeded my expectations.. 8.5 out of 10. There’s tons of outdoor seating and a lesser but still good amount inside. This place is crazy good! If I lived in ATL, they’d know me by name!

Went in for a quick lunch after my visit to a showroom right across the street from it.
Staff was exceptionally helpful. Everyone was courteous and took care of us like we had been going there forever.
Plenty of parking to begin with. Once ordered food was all tasty. The chicken spinach soup was delicious. The egg plant parm sandwich was tasty but I had to customize it to my taste with a little red pepper. The spinach pizza was cooked to perfection and the ingredients were all concocted to create a perfect all vegetarian pizza that the 3 of us enjoyed and took half home.
The wait staff were extremely friendly and polite.
