We were very disappointed this time! It was expensive and we had to wait for a long time like about 30 minutes for the food! It’s not worth the price!

Maybe the best food I’ve ever had. The lamb saag was out of this world. The garlic naan terrific. The chicken pokera excellent. And the Tikka masala sauce perfect. I’d return any day. Taj Majal is great too. I highly recommend Star of India. Oh PS, the owners are fantastic people.

We stopped at the closest Indian food restaurant to us on our way home. I am so glad we stopped! The spicy curry chicken, spicy chicken tikka masala with the amazing rice was delicious. Great appetizers and desserts! I’ll be back!

We just ran into this this little restaurant. We ordered palak paneer, daal maharani, garlic naan, veggie samosa and kheer. The food was great. The kheer tasted a little dated or stale. I only gave 3 stars as I think we were over charged, we did not realize until we got home and doing math it seems there was 10 to 12 $ extra charge. They did not give the itemized receipt so not sure what the extra item was and we tried calling but no one answered the phone and mailbox is full. So, next time we will have to pay attention to the charges.

Our servers name was VJ. He was very polite and patient with us as we explored the menu. We ordered chicken curry, mixed grill, butter chicken, garlic naan, and another type of bread but I forget the name.

Possibly the best Indian food I’ve ever had in my 42 years! I can’t believe we’ve lived in Ahwatukee this long and haven’t tried it until tonight. If I felt comfortable enough to lick the plate, I would have. Went with my husband and 12 year old son. We all got something different but shared, everything was wonderful! The staff was friendly and attentive. Will definitely come again!

100% authentic Indian food. The best I have had in the valley and all made at the moment by authentic people. My husband and I come when we get the opportunity to have dinner out. Dining in the restaurant is quiet, and if its busy it could get backed up and take a moment for plates to come out. But if we understand the making of all these dishes from scratch, and using a traditional clay oven for baking naan, I’d like them to take their time making my delicious meal. The waiters and waitresses are all polite, which means they are respectful and timely, but aren’t very chatty, which is not a necessary item for us, but some customers just like to be tended to in that way. Otherwise, the people and the cuisine is amazing and deserve 5 stars and more.

Don’t bother coming. Waited about an hour for food, insisted it was only a few minutes. A few minutes turned into thirty minutes, then turned into an hour, and still no food. Others who came before us still didn’t receive theirs so I would imagine they were waiting an hour and half. Took the hint and cancelled my order and left. I hope the food is good because waiting that long didn’t seem worth it. Be prepared to have nothing to do for 3 hours if you want a meal here.

First time at Star of India. I came during lunch, so I decided to try the lunch buffet. Really good variety of meat and vegetarian options. I really enjoyed the The Chickpeas in Marsala and the Chicken Curry and both rices. Tried a mango shake it was super creamy and delicious. Staff was kind an friendly. Restaurant is clean and nice atmosphere. I’ll definitely come back to try something new.
