The food is good but their website is terrible to order on. At the time of writing their website claims that the Chicken Bhuna come with rice, when it arrived it came with no rice. Couldnt get an order of rice as its only £2.50/£3.25 and way under the price for delivery.
Called up to try and get this sorted, got told that it doesnt come with rice, even though their website is wrong there was nothing that could be done about their mistake.

Soooooooooo good honestly the flavours just wow… the service second to none.. from Fahim… The Lamb Tikka starter… Chicken Tikka Jalfrazi main to die for…Delivery would be great too but eating in you can’t beat it.

Just been to this restaurant, apart from the actual room wich would need a bit of a renew.
The food and service was absolutely spot on, it’s a great meal for the value.
I’m from France so can’t go as much as I would like! But every time I come back to the uk this is where I am going !!

– popodoms with chutney, mint sauce, chilli and lime, onions
– chicken madras special fried rice
– garlic naans
-stuffed paratha
– drinks and was under £25 per person

Probably the worst attempt at a Korai ever. More like a tin tomato curry. Had the spice profile but still somehow flavourless. Was just trying out a new place. Never again

Absolutely amazing Bangladeshi food. Together with an amazing meal and excellent service, the owner also gave us an interesting history lesson as well that 99% of ‘Indian’ food in the UK are actually from Bangladesh. He clarified however that Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka was also one country at one point in time. I quipped then that his restaurant being called ‘Star of Asia’ covers all the bases then. He laughed.
The butter chicken was tasty, we ordered this really spicy fish that was so flavourful, the veggie dishes were tasty, the chickpea soup and even the naan were down to earth good. We were there on a Monday night so it wasn’t busy but if the locals haven’t discovered this place yet, they should. We’d be back for sure the next time we’re in Portsmouth, we just have to take a flight across the pond as we live in Canada.

There is a good reason why this place has been in business for so many years … the food is good. Consistent in their quality, they will be flexible in what you want, if you want more garlic, let them know, they will provide. Nice people, the delivery guy always polite, and the delivery is usually quite quick. I appreciate that some have left negative reviews, but on a personal perspective, these are my go to every time I want an Indian.

First time we been on this Indian restaurant and it’s a jackpot very nice food. What surprise me was there was no beer at all which a bit weird to be honest as it was the first time I’ve seen a restaurant that doesn’t have an alcoholic drinks.

Don’t waste your time with this place.
Ordered for delivery.
Get a call back from them saying that all the curries we ordered don’t come with rice (even though menu states it does). And then they have the cheek to charge us a delivery and bagging fee, even though we are only 1mile away (free delivery within 3miles and over £12 order which it was).
Food arrived cold, poppadoms smashed to bits, and only 2 rices even though we ordered 4.
Far better places to order like Anwars or Royal Palki

Wrong food bought to table ..heard someone card details being told down the phone ..chef came out and argued with a customer who found a hair in the food. Will not be eating here again very poor service and certainly will not be giving my card details down the phone when they take orders on loud speaker.
