We also enjoyed a bucket of beers, which made the whole experience even more fun. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. You can really tell that the kitchen takes pride in every plate that comes out.
This was my first time here, but it definitely won’t be my last. I’ll be recommending this place to all of my friends. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was attentive and friendly, and the food was exceptional.
Thank you for such a memorable experience.
Went on 23 Feb to try out the place..
$70 for 1 hour to sing and eat for THREE people in their smallest KTV room!
Ordered 2 food items, salt pepper fish $16 and Hong Kong noodle $15.
This place charges a mandatory 18% gratuity the moment you sing, eat and drink in their KTV room!
$24/hour smallest KTV room before 7pm
(be $48 after 7pm!) +$16 fish + $15 noodle (drank ice water only!)
=$55 + 8% tax + 18% gratuity
=$55 + 4.40 + $9.90
=$69.30! (70 cents to $70!)
Cancelled our booking of their VIP room for up to 25 people that will cost $54/hour.
($108/ hour after 7pm!)
$2.50 per can of soda = $62.50 if every of 25 people gets ONE can.
Or, $10 for a small jug of juice for 4 people, $70 for 7 jugs for 28 people.
Add cost of food for 25 people, estimate $10 per person average, total $250 to $300.
VIP KTV room + drinks + food
=$54X5 hours + $70 + $300
=$270 + $70 + $300
=$640 + 8% tax + 18% mandatory gratuity
=$640 + $51.20 + $115.20
=$806.40 !!
Over $800 Just to sing, eat and drink for 5 hours during their NON-PEAK hours!!
Decided to CANCEL the booking, instead, went on Amazon to buy 2 karaoke speakers that each comes with 2 wireless microphones, $95 each set, ~$200.
Just need to clean up our house, decorate with balloons etc, and have the birthday party in the comfort of our home!
This way, not only can save $806.40-$200
= ~$600 for food and drinks!
But also, we get to keep the speakers for more of future karaoke sessions instead of just pay and go home with nothing!!
But I’ll say, the salt pepper fish and noodle tasted decent, might go back to eat, in the restaurant NOT in their KTV room!!
(Thus, 2 star for this review)
Parking is limited and tight, not ideal for big group party.
Neighbourhood does not look or feel too safe I would feel even more so at night?
Maybe 60% safe out of the 100% safest-feeling neighbourhood?
Will definitely go back once I am in town.
Alas, Sacramento’s hidden gem of a casual Chinese food eatery is open for dine in again. I was ecstatic, as ordering Togo over the pandemic didn’t hit nearly the same for me. All of their dishes are amazingly solid. The curry beef brisket was huge in portion. Marinated pork ear was done amazingly and perfectly seasoned. The tofu seafood hotpot was so delicious, albeit the portion size for that seemed to have shrunken a bit post pandemic. For the price and the atmosphere of a clean and bright hk Cafe that also sells boba…the perfect place. I also enjoy their beef chow fun a lot and think that for the pricing, the quality of the food is superb. Even with the inflation going on recently, it’s one of the places that I don’t feel bad about going to despite some price increases.
