Small but busy atmosphere. Food was extremely quick coming out and prepared well. My favorite was the chicken noodle soup and a corned beef hash. We had brunch on a recommendation from a friend in the area. To get in the building you have to use the back door. Suggestion I would make to them is their lighting is a little dark inside. Other than that everything was great. I do know that during certain times of the week their line is out the door. So just plan accordingly. We were there on a Sunday morning around 11:00.

Love stay diner it’s a great place for a generous amount of food for the price. I also think the waitress are very friendly. I have been going to this diner for years

If you don’t mind your waitresses to be absolutely gorgeous, friendly, fast and courteous along with your food made to order this may not be for you! The bacon is thick and salty just the way I like it! If you come here once you will definitely be back!

My eggs were undercooked(runny whites) and sausage gravy was not very warm and tested a little off. I did enjoy the biscuits, potatoes(with onions) and sausage patty. Thank you. I will try back for lunch.

Chill atmosphere, service was decent but there clearly wasn’t enough servers so the wait to order was a bit long for such a smaller place. However, they were friendly and obviously doing their best. Food portions are large but a bit lackluster. Needed more seasoning on everything and the presentation was mediocre. Potatoes were 70% burnt to hell and had absolutely no flavor..also they said they were gonna be hash browns and they were simply au gratin-style sliced potatoes overcooked on the grill. Yikes. The French toast was decent as well. It’s also difficult to even find the restaurant as it’s located in the back of another plaza off the main street! No clear visible signage from the street view. You have to search to see a small black awning that doesn’t even say STAR DINER…just a blank canvas . I might go back for another try but might not. Highly recommend one of the other Star Diner locations in the city over this one, namely Alexis Road!

Today was my husbands birthday. I had him pick where he wanted tongo for a birthday breakfast. We weren’t impressed. It smelled like stale, wet cigarettes when we walked in, and the interior was just depressing.
The food wasn’t much better. The presentation was great, but that’s the only good thing I can say about it. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Somehow, it was crispy yet soggy in an undercooked way. The chicken tenders were also just barely cooked through. They had no crunch to them at all.

We are from Washington state and stopped into this place for breakfast. The food was fantastic for a great price. The pancakes are really, really good. We recommend this place. Double thumbs up.

Server Connie was great! ordered two egg “over easy” server put in them exactly as ordered! Unfortunately they’re very anxious need to educate or train their cook, on cooked eggs! The eggs came out over done, very little yolk. Connie did ask a little bit into showing her, if I wanted different eggs! A little late! Paid the bill, still tipped 20% but I’m normally a 30-50% tip guy!

I had fantastic service today! Food was hot and freshly made.
Giant portions I could not remotely finish with very reasonable prices.
Old school diner look and vibe. Always a pleasure
