I took my clients here for breakfast, and they loved it. Yummy, omelettes, pancakes, and eggs. The only reason I gave the atmosphere a 4 is because it can be very noisy especially if you are in the main dining room.
The restaurant is small, so keep that in mind if you’re going for breakfast because you might wait for a while but it’s worth it. The staff is really nice. (Also, they don’t have any “fancy“ coffee, so if you’re looking for a latte, go over to Bordertown ) but if you’re looking for a good country breakfast, this is a great place.

Just want to say how much I like this restaurant. Great breakfast. Had eggs, fried potatoes, bacon, English muffin & coffee. Bacon was super good. Happy customer. Definitely recommend!

This was our second time visiting and it was once again very good! I got the Star Skillet and my 2 year old got the French toast, bacon and scrambled eggs w/cheese. The staff is very friendly and our boy loves chatting with them! We also love the small-town diner vibes! Thanks!

Friendly, other customers had curious looks towards our table. I guess there are not many people of Latin ethnicity dining in this rustic local eatery. We will go back another time, maybe at a busier time.

Food was ok, what you would expect of a diner breakfast. My service was standard and not bad at all. However as I was leaving the young gentleman serving an older gentleman at the counter was rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. Maybe service is not for you. If this is the standard we won’t be returning. There is no situation where the staff should be heard throughout the diner asking someone else to serve a customer. There is an appropriate way of switching servers without drawing attention to yourself and the gentleman just trying to get a meal.

I found a new favorite Breakfast Place. I had the haystack. It is biscuits and gravy covered with hashbrowns, sausage, eggs and more gravy. Oh so good I could not finish it all. Wife had chicken fried stake and a giant pancake. It was all so delicious

Had breakfast today at the Star Country Cafe. This is an old fashioned place, nothing fancy here. The food was good except the home fries were dry and not much taste but, the chicken fried steak and gravy was really good. I had a vegetable omelet. It was made from liquid eggs which isn’t my favorite but, most restaurants don’t use fresh eggs anymore to save money. The vegetables were really good and my hash browns were good too. The serve started off poorly but, got better after abit. We will come back again.

The Star Cafe is a landmark in Star. My family has been going there for years. The food is delicious and the portions are crazy big. Their staff is always friendly and attentive even when they are slammed, which is common. A testament to their great grub.

Stopped in recently with a friend for a late breakfast and wasn’t disappointed. Really cool interior decor (kind of nostalgic) / warm atmosphere. Staff was very friendly, service was excellent. Food was great. Would recommend and would return.
