My wife and I decided to eat lunch at Stanley Kitchen Family Restaurant, yesterday. We chose this place because my wife loves good chicken fried steak. The restaurant offered country fried steak, which turned out to be the same thing. Thats what she had, with mashed potatoes and green beans. I had the Deluxe Hamburger Steak with macaroni and cheese, and cole slaw. The cole slaw was marginal. Everything else was delicious. The service was very good and the atmosphere was friendly and comfortable. We will be back. I just won’t order the cole slaw.

One of the best kept secrets in this small town of Stanley NC. Off the beaten path little nook. Quaint, sweet, down home country cooking at its best. Such kind, warm, and friendly staff. Especially Mrs Amy. My favorite waitress there. Calm, peaceful, pleasant atmosphere. When I’m there, which is for over 2 hours sometimes, by choice, I just get lost in my thoughts because its so peaceful in there. I love that place. I go every week that I can.

We came across the pond from Washington state. To our N. Carolina family they call this restaurant Kim’s, i found that they served food I never had before. It was so amazing as they allowed me to try stuff. We had some great laughs, I had never heard of or experienced liver mush. Not to bad with mustard. Fried bologna was great! I experienced things I had never experienced and the evening girls were amazing. Thank you honestly for one the highlights of trip. Your restaurant means a lot of our family.

The service was excellent. We came in about 30 minutes before they closed and they welcomed us with smiles and were happy to seat us. We ordered a club sandwich and it was good. We didn’t want to order anything that needed to be cooked due to closing soon. The menu prices were reasonable.We will definitely be back to try some other menu items due to our excellent waitress. I wished I could remember her name because she deserves a big kudos! We have been looking for a good family restaurant and look forward to our next visit.

You won’t find a more tender-beef, hand-pattied cheeseburger these days for the price you’ll pay than at Stanley Kitchen. The whole sandwich is stellar, also boasting a big fresh bun, melty cheese and tasty toppings like chili or slaw or tomato, tailored to your liking. The meat-and-three plates are excellent too: big portions, fresh food and good prices.
