Stopped by as we waited for a concert…best decision! Chopped pork sandwich was perfect. Tender, juicy, and seasoned well. Great sauces to complement. Their slaw pairs with the que amazingly! Not the largest menu but has the essentials. Not too much to overwhelm you.

Very good Lexington style BBQ. The peach cobbler is homemade and very good. Prices are super cheap; very surprising. Kind staff, clean restrooms, clean and fast service. Very much recommended.

Food: Chopped pork plate comes with fresh hushpuppies and homemade red slaw, all excellent! The hushpuppies are best when dining in, as are all hot breads.

Im a gastric bypass patient, but wanted some BBQ tonight. So I decided to come here because I’m a Mark Weins fan also and he made it taste so good threw the TV. . This was EXCELLENT on EVERYTHING eaten. They gave you so much food that 2 people can eat from the large plate of BBQ. I tasted everything on the menu, mac/cheese, collars, hush puppies, slaw, cheese fries, ice cream with peach cobbler. Everything was DELICIOUS. I had to pack up the food, but it’s well worth it. Staff welcomed you like they knew you for years. You tea cup was always filled up and very polite to everyone. This is a place I would bring my family and friends to eat anytime. The price for 2 large plates with everything mention is less than $40.00. Well worth the ride from Durham NC. The apple cobbler crust melted in my mouth with the homemade vanilla ice cream. ALL I can say is WOW, WOW WONDERFUL PLACE TO EAT. MARK WEINS PICKED A GREAT PLACE TO VISIT. I will be back soon.

We stopped here for Saturday lunch and couldn’t be happier with the food and service. Aftin was friendly and prompt. The hot sauce could have been hotter, but overall delicious!

Disclaimer: This is my first experience with NC BBQ. Knowing this I’ll just only comment on the food quality and not taste. The chicken was the same quality as a rotisserie ch8cken from the local grocery store (rubbery skin and dry) the pork was not as dry but it had some hard pieces in it. The MAC AND CHEESE AND PEACH COBBLER WAS FIRE(AMAZING)!!!! Some of the friendliest people I’ve ever encountered and I liked the vibe in the resturant.

We hit the drive thru for our first visit. Quick, friendly and easy to navigate through. We also had a lesson on the Family sauces. Ordered the quarter chicken plate and sliced pork. The chicken was juicy and moist. The sliced pork was tender and juicy. Nice first experience and plenty of parking!

Sadly disappointed. We ordered two family dinners, one with pulled pork and one with chopped chicken. We also ordered a quarter chicken plate and some extra sides. Spent $75 for a family of 4. Meat was just ok. No real smokiness or flavor. Beans tasted canned. Collard greens had absolutely no taste whatsoever! Hush puppies were dry. Cobbler was teeny-tiny and nothing special. All in all, a disappointing trip. We had tried Mac’s Speed Shop before, and thought we’d give Stameys a try since they are supposed to be so famous. Mac’s Speed Shop is WAY better!! Sorry Stameys, we tried.

We went right before the ACC Tournament, place was packed yet our pickup order was ready and was hot and fresh. They forgot the buns for our barbecue, so because of this the nice lady at the counter gave us a free container of their homemade sauce. Really friendly people and the BBQ was great! The mac and cheese was bomb too. Great place, great food, and phenomenal service.
