If you’re driving through Ramah on Rt. 53 on weekdays, stop by Stagecoach. Their menu is extensive for such a small place and the food is well prepared and delicious. I usually swing by for their burgers and generous servings of fries! The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. From what I hear, Stagecoach has been there for close to 200 years, so you’ll be stopping at one of America’s oldest restaurants. Pioneers stopped there as they headed west on their stagecoaches (thus the name). It’s an experience! Prices are reasonable. Don’t miss a spot that carries so much history.

Great little place to stop off Hwy 53 West and get a bite to eat. Breakfast served until 11 am, full American lunch menu (many different burger styles) and lots of New Mexican cuisine entrées. We tried the bean burrito and stacked cheese enchiladas, both come with arroz rojo and beans. Chicken-centered decor is super cute and you can pick your own slice of pie from a phone booth display Staff was really welcoming and efficient. We will definitely stop by again.

Stopped by here on our way to Zuni. The staff were really nice and helpful. I had their Green Chile Cheeseburger and I enjoyed it very much. Fresh and tasty. Nothing to complain about. We definitely would come back here again when there’s opportunity.

A Ramah staple. If you’re just passing through, this is a fantastic place to stop. Highlights are their stuffed sopapillas, their chili cheese fries, and their patty melts. My family has known the family who owns it for years, and the family that owned it before that.
Definitely a piece of Ramah history worth checking out.

The old saying, you can’t judge a book by its cover, comes to mind. The outside of the Stagecoach Cafe looked a little….old. But once inside, you’ll find a squeaky clean restaurant, nicely decorated, well managed, with a great menu, and a very polite and efficient staff. The food was great and the people were very kind and pleasant. If you’re traveling in NM along I-40, a small detour thru Ramah will give you some relief from the I-40 potholes and a great meal besides.
