A restaurant with rich history, large but cozy atmosphere and fresh, well prepared food. We arrived and were quickly seated at the outside dining area. I ordered the lobster roll with fresh shucked lobster, mayo, and celery. The lobster was truly fresh with just the right amount of mayo and celery for a light crunch. The fries were seasoned well and served hot. I also had the amazing creme bulee for desert. It was light, creamy with a balanced sweetness. The perfect dessert to finish the meal. If you’re looking for inspiration as a home chef and a celebratory evening out, this place is definitely worth a visit.

I’ve been to all of the Stage House Tavern’s in New Jersey and by far this has to be my favorite one. The inside and the outside set-up gives you the feeling like it’s 4 or 5 restaurants mixed into one. The food was a little flat but the drinks were good and the company was ever better. Give this place a try and invite as many people as you want because they is plenty of room, the sign said capacity is 700 or more. $$

I was referred to dine here from my cousin while I was in NJ. Let me tell you the food is amazing! That Onion soup is I also ordered the Turkey Club sandwich and there was no way, I was going to finish that. If you’re hungry order that sandwich! It’s stacked right! and off course it comes with fries, which are not small either. This was just soup and a sandwich! I’m FULL

I hadn’t visited in a few years so I was looking forward to the vibe…it happened to be the hottest day of the year so we dined indoors, unfortunately, “it doesn’t hit the same” as being outside. Our server was cool but not the most attentive. There were a few flies we had to keep swatting away so that was annoying but not necessarily the restaurants fault. I ordered 6 oysters which came with some sauces/fixings…I requested cocktail sauce as well…they were just okay, which was disappointing because I had been craving them all week. One thing that was good was the red sangria! Definitely try it!

Long wait, lively ambiance, a couple of tasty, vegetarian options on the menu, and average service. The outdoor seating looked beautiful in the evening. Plenty of parking.

Horrible experience here. My sister booked this place for Easter. They sat us upstairs my 81-year-old mother could hardly make it up the steps. Once we got upstairs they were short two chairs. They were going to try to squeeze in two chairs and we said no we need another table. They then brought us downstairs and sat us in the bar room. It was so loud we weren’t able to talk to each other. I ordered a tuna tartare as an app. There was hardly any tuna. My mother didn’t eat her meal. Three meals had to be sent back because they were cold. My sister ordered lobster it was supposed to be topped off with crab meat and breadcrumbs. It was all bread crumbs. My mother ordered a margarita she asked for no salt and it was salted. Would not waste my time going back there. Super disappointed.

Overall a very nice place to eat outside, especially in the warmer months. Food is ok, stick to plain dishes like burgers, nachos, I made the mistake of ordering the sea bass… It was unseasoned with feta cheese on top. Not sure what the chief was thinking here, it was not good at all. That being said service was very The staff was friendly and helpful.

Love the food and drinks here. This is the go to place for my friends and I to go and hang out. There is an outdoor space that is great to sit at when it’s nice out. The only thing that is keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that the service is a little slow (even when it’s not crowded). Also their salads are a bit pricey. Otherwise, good place to eat!

Went on Easter Sunday, totally packed but had reservations and was taken to a table almost immediately with a large party. Food was good.
