I love the martinis. I have tried the chocolate and orange, cosmo and the raspberry martinis. The chocolate and orange is better then dessert. Our meal was the Sheppards pie. It was very good. Great atmosphere.

Tried Scotch Egg, fish and chips, and Shepard’s Pie. All good and tasty. Comfortable surroundings. Large, bright windows facing Main Street and original tin ceiling with skylight. Dart boards in back of bar. Hope to return when there’s live music.

Went for dinner on Saturday and the restaurant was mostly empty and only had three diners by 8pm. That’s not a good sign. We tried the scotch egg, spicy wings, sausage rolls and fish and chips. The scotch egg was a disappointment, overcooked and salty with a rubbery egg yolk. The wings were good, but more sweet than spicy. The sausage rolls weren’t impressive and the fish was nice. The fries on the side were greasy and undercooked. The drinks were tasty but weak. Overall not a place worth returning to even with good service from the bartender. The expectation is for patrons to seat themselves, so just walk in and find a table or spot at the bar.

Bartender made the experience. Went there on Aug 2nd. Super friendly and worked with ya if you wanted a specific drink and made her own concoction if she didn’t have the exact ingredients and they tasted excellent.

A wonderful surprise in Black River Falls. An authentic British pub that uses old family recipes. Had the meat pies and they were fantastic (be prepared to take one home with you)

Been here several times now. Bar is well stocked. Good selection of beer and tap. Food has been fabulous. Toad in a hole was delicious, Shepherds pie is just great comfort food, trying the meat pies tonight. Can’t stay away from this place. It’s new but it’s a hidden gem.

Went for lunch on a Sunday. Only two other people in bar/restaurant besides both of us. Walked in stood there waiting for direction if we should seat ourselves. Not acknowledged, so we sat ourselves. Waited forever for food and was not worth the wait. Soup was terrible and hamburger was way below quality expected. When leaving no one said anything to us. Did not feel welcome to the restaurant. Will not go back.

Had the lamb sliders and their fish & chips, my husband is British and he gave the fish a thumbs up ( ask for the malt vinegar for a real experience)
