This place is great for a slow morning. The restaurant has a nice home feel to it. The food was good. I order the neutral waffle and I wouldn’t do that again. They dumped the Nutella instead of drizzling it. My eggs and bacon were cooked very well and were my favorite part. They also gave us a birthday pancake to celebrate, and it was such a sweet gesture!

Went here on a whim, the server was very nice. She kept our drinks full. I ordered the four egg cowboy omelet. 4 eggs with sausage, ham, bacon, green peppers and onions. It also came with hash browns and a biscuit. My nephew ordered the southern skillet. It came with a biscuit as the base, sausage, ham, green peppers, and onions, and sausage gravy. It also had hash browns and cheese. We could have substituted the hash browns for fresh fruit. We both went with the hash brown. We also got one pancake each.

chill little place. the texas burger i got was okay.. a bit hard and the fries were fried too hard. our server was nice though. tried my sister’s Nutella crepes and they were pretty tasty.

Had a great time having breakfast with family and really enjoyed the pecan banana French toast! Four of us ate at the restaurant and we got take out for my sister who was back home. It’s a cosy mom-and-pop place!

Excellent service with a smile. Large menu and a lot of options. The atmosphere is of a typical cafe in Texas. Warm and Inviting. We really enjoyed our food. I got the banana bread french toast. Yummy!

For a small little gem, it’s tasty. We were seated quickly, orders were taken quickly, and food was out quickly. Pancakes were filling but surprisingly light on my stomach. Their orange juice is freshly squeezed. The sausage is delicious (large links). They have a military discount of 10% which I very much appreciated. The tables and restaurant looked clean.

Such a quaint little breakfast place right here in Denton. Very clean and tidy. There’s vintage tables and chairs and booths as well. Service was quick, and they are all super friendly. My food was delivered hot and correctly cooked as requested. We enjoyed the cinnamon swirl French toast (huge portion) and the scramble. We also tried a short stack of pancakes and their bacon, eggs, and hash browns. All of it was delicious. I will go back for sure.

My daughter and I were craving some pancakes, I found out about this place and we decided to give it a try.
We walked in around 12:15pm. There was a short line, and everyone was seated within 3 minutes… except us. The woman at the hostess stand told me she would clean a table for us and be right back. Well, I continued to stand there and wait another 15 minutes, she never came back. I counted 7 empty tables, so I was confused why we were still standing and waiting. An elderly couple walked in the door and a server immediately came right up and seated them right away. Then another server noticed us, came up and asked if we were still waiting to be seated and I said “yes”. She walked us to a table and wiped it down and put our menus on the table, she told us our server would be with us shortly.
5 minutes later, our server came over and took our drink orders. She came back with our drinks and asked if we were ready to order, we told her just another minute we would be ready… Well, she literally never came back. Another server kept walking by our table and 15 minutes later, she finally realized we still hadn’t ordered and said she would take over our table. She was nice and friendly.
Our pancakes came out within 10 minutes. My daughter’s eggs and bacon were cold, but the pancakes were hot, fresh, and delicious. The syrup was also hot which was a nice touch. I really enjoyed the pancakes, they were thick, fluffy, and really tasted unique.
The interior of the restaurant had a down-home country feel. I did feel it was a little unclean though. Our table was a little sticky, there were crumbs in my booth, and the floor was dirty.
Overall, our second server was friendly and very prompt. We spent over an hour here, and 45 minutes of that was just waiting, which was frustrating when we were so hungry.
I cannot recommend, but think you should try it out for yourself. Maybe you’ll have a better experience than we did.

So, when we went in everything was going perfect. The issue started when this poor old man seemingly started having a seizure. He fell and hit his head, and you would assume the manager would be coming over because of training and everything else yeah? No. This table of generous people came and helped him. Got all the information, and did almost everything. The manager on duty was nowhere to be seen. The staff did what they could from what i could see, but the biggest issue is the person who you’d expect with the training in the restaurant was standing back letting a table of costumers do it. From this experience I believe the staff here really need training on basic medical things. Besides that the food was genuinely amazing. Just wished the staff was better equipped and they covered that tables tab for doing the managers job for them.

This was my first time visiting Stacks. I found it to be a quaint place with really good food. I love corned beef hash and theirs was delicious. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a nice quiet spot for a good down home breakfast. And waitress and hostess were both very attentive and from what I could see in the kitchen, the cook was on top of every order. The food was made fresh to order and came out quickly after our orders were placed.
