So I’ll start with the fact that this truck sells damn good food! The man running the truck on his own was friendly. This was our first time trying this place we didn’t even know it existed. My son ordered the Duke City Smashburger with crispy fries, I ordered the West Coast Smashburger with tots. I asked the person running the food truck what was in the “stacker sauce” he claims to state that he didn’t know what was in it. I understand not wanting to completely give away a recipe, but too many people today have sensitivities and allergies and the lack of consistent disregard for that by this food truck is why I took the rating down to four stars. (I saw in the other reviews that other people were asking what ingredients were in the sauce, and the same answer was given to them). Now back to the food: my son said his food was very good the green chile had heat but not so much that you could not enjoy the food. His fries were perfectly crispy and he inhaled it all in just a few minutes. The meat is very fresh and has a very nice flavor. The buns were toasted and somewhat buttery, there were caramelized onions on the bottom of the Burger too. The Stacker sauce is absolutely delicious! I even dunked my tots in it. We ended up paying $26 total after getting the $5 off discount for a first-time purchase which was pretty cool. I left him a few bucks in a tip.
There’s a nice area with bench tables to sit down to eat in, shaded and non-shaded options available. They have water misting devices going all over which feel absolutely wonderful in this heat, lights strings hung up all around and music playing in the background. The music is not too loud either during the day at least. The parking is decent as well not too far of a walk to the place where this food truck and many other food trucks are all in a circle with each other. I feel it’s a really unique eating experience. My son and I would like to take others with us next time to try more items from Stackers, we would like to try out the other food trucks as well.

Great burgers and I’m going to miss you! Placed an order and my money was taken. However, you were closed. I did check hours to see if you were open prior to ordering. In fact, looking now, it still says you are there on Sunday. I made three attempts to make contact and get the situation resolved. Either a refund or fulfillment of my order. Absolutely no response. Why do you take money when you are not even open? This is stealing!!

Dec 2025 update: sadly I’m taking this down from 5 to 2 starts. Customer service is consistently awful at the 3 locations I’ve visited, their hours are unreliable at the food truck park, and the quality is inconsistent lately. When they’re on it they’re delicious but I think they only stepped it up for a month over the summer because of the burger competition.
I’m not trying to be dramatic but the Burqueño is the most amazing burger I’ve eaten in my entire life. It’s been about 2 months since I first tried it and not a day goes by when I don’t think about it. It’s a perfect burger in every way. I’m obsessed and addicted.

Food truck lot: We arrived in the evening and it was pretty dead partially due to cold weather. It is okay to go during the day and the locale management is constantly working on more areas to eat. At Stackers: The person taking our order was friendly but didn’t really know what the sauces were? He just mentioned that, “they are the ones my boss makes”. We ordered food nonetheless. The burger meat was certainly fresh looking and tasted pretty good. Pretty comparable to other smash burgers. The green chile had a tiny bit of bite but not really too much. The fries seemed like the frozen seasoned fries that you can find at other places. Fry sauce was good. I like supporting food trucks but pricing is certainly high. Approx $40 for a basic meal for 2.

The Oklahoma Smash Burger was the best thing on the menu. Taking it off was a bold choice… because without it, they might as well have shut the place down.

We heard about Stackers Burger Co. from a friend of ours that is a big foodie. He was right! I had the Classic Burger and Matt had the Smash Burger. Both were delicious and the best burgers that we have had in a long time. There are several food trucks and I highly recommend that you check it out. Sit at the fire pit, picnic on the grass or get it to go, this small food community is worth going to and bring your kids.

Well, I can’t review your food. I googled smash burgers on google and yours sounded great. Google sent me first to a location by Eubank that doesn’t exist. Then from your website I went your food truck. That wasn’t open despite your hours saying you were. So the food may be bomb, but an impossible task to get. Best of luck to you!

Best burger I’ve had in a while. The fries are so crispy. I wanted to try their green chili queso fries but they were out of queso. Next time I’ll try those!

Stackers Burger Co. is a counter-serve smash/grease burger place located in the 505 Central Food Hall in downtown Albuquerque.
If you’re looking for a smash burger in a relaxed food hall this option is a great choice! The fries are lightly spiced and the burgers are delicious.
I had the Classic Mustard Grilled Cheeseburger, which included two halal smash burger patties, American cheese, grilled mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions on a butter-toasted local brioche bun. I added bacon, which was a great addition.
There are 11 different add-on options: avocado, bacon, a fried egg, green chile, crispy haystack onions, sliced American cheese, sliced pepper jack cheese, shredded mozzarella, queso blanco, fried chicken, or an added beef patty.
The owners of Stackers also own Kukri Chicken, another option in 505 Central. Kukri is also halal.
Overall, a great choice! We’ll be back!

The food truck is accessible through Brew Lab 101. There is a small outdoor patio where you can sit if you don’t want to be inside. The Duke City burger is nice, flavorful chile but not very hot. Generous scoop of chile on burger. The fries were piping hot and nicely seasoned. It’ll be about $20 per person with no drink.
