I love the food at Panera Bread Co. But on 2 recent incident I requested Walnut Chicken salad sandwich and received tuna. Didn’t realize until I was all the way home. Took away my taste. If it wasn’t close to closing hours I would have driven back. But this is such a waste of my time when all they need to do is look at the order …the line up reads ” checking your order” before its ready for pick up..evidently this is not what really happens..

I visited the Panera Bread location in Brentwood today to purchase a half dozen bagels. When I approached the counter, I was helped by a very kind African-American young woman who appeared to be in training, along with a man who seemed to be a manager, as he was wearing a black hoodie rather than the standard uniform.
As I placed my order, the man immediately began slicing the bagels and placing them into a brown paper bag. I politely asked if they could be placed in a white plastic bag instead. He responded sardonically and corrected me by saying “clear plastic bag” in an arrogant and condescending tone, as if the wording itself was an issue. He then placed the bagels into the clear bag but left the top open, which completely defeated the purpose of using the plastic bag to preserve freshness—especially considering I purchased a half dozen bagels and was not planning to eat them all immediately.
What stood out most was the dismissive and disrespectful tone from someone who appeared to be in a leadership role. In contrast, the young woman assisting me was polite and pleasant, which is why I even left a tip—despite the overall negative interaction.
I hope corporate takes this feedback seriously. Customers should be treated with respect at all times, regardless of background, and managers in particular should model professionalism, courtesy, and cultural awareness. This location would greatly benefit from improved customer service standards and bias training to ensure all guests feel valued and respected.

Ordered a cup of Mac n cheese, took 20 minutes and didn’t even fill the cup halfway…. Disappointed. Also didn’t love the blank stares from every employee I encountered.

Well everyone was very nice but I saw a kid unsupervised outside while I was walking in and he turned out to be in the next booth and he was banging and punching the booth constantly. I was looking around for the parent when I saw someone walk out of the kitchen to talk to him ir give him an iPad or something but the behavior continued. I know it’s hard with kids but unfortunately it’s not conducive for working or having a nice meal with unsupervised children acting like that. When you respond I’ll take down the pics if you like.

The St Louis bread company is always great. I went to the one in Clayton by the esquire movie theater. I ordered the pick two soup and salad. The soup was hot and delicious and the salad was fresh. They are very polite and it doesn’t take long to get your food.

“I had an excellent experience at Bread Co. My food was fresh and delicious. The team lead, Jack, was very helpful and even came over to check on me after I had been seated and eating for a while. That extra attention meant a lot. The customer service was outstanding.”

We love Panera. But not this Panera. The rudest staff. Confrontational with customers, unfit to read the order and ensure it’s complete. The food prep area and window for serving was filthy. The manager on shift was sweet and offered reassurance that she would pack our order. Out of the 12 items she packed three. Close the doors until you find people who care to show up and care about other people. Really- and if the management is reading- this is a reflection of you as well. You know these things are happening, do better.

The cashier Dakayla was very rude and did not care for her job like a long wanted to be there. She was no help and did not want to take my order. They filled up my food halfway and didn’t give me all of my bread. The lady who was cooking in the kitchen with a red shirt, Was very rude and did not care. She didn’t even want to give me the bowl that I ordered and try to give me something that was cheaper until the man went to go get it after she said they didn’t have it. Just for her to only fill it up halfway. After dealing with the cashier and the cooks, I just left. I need to talk to a manager or someone who can deal with my problem. I normally don’t get treated like this at a Bread Co. But somehow, I go to this one and this is what happened. This place has very bad customer service. The manager on duty nowhere in site. The lady who was making the food, had a very bad attitude with a smart mouth, She do not need to be working with customers.

Blueberry bagel with reduced fat walnut honey cream cheese is my go to food anytime of the day. Wish St Louis bread Co would get back the hazel nut cream cheese flavor. Don’t know why they stopped it. It was one of the best cream cheese I used to have regularly long time back

Seemed to be under staffed. Ordered meal for 3 and went to get drinks. The tea and lemonade dispensers were both empty….. our table was still slightly dirty so we wiped it down ourselves before setting down. Pick two was good quality as expected. Salad was fresh and really enjoyed. I paid for a large corn chowder and was surprised at how little there was in a big bowl. I placed my spoon in the chowder and there was only about 1.5” of soup. That may be the way it is as I typically do not order the large soup.
