I will always take a chance with a mom n pop cafe / restaurant over a chain restaurant because you get a little something different at each place. That said, St. Helens hits the mark. It’s a little older place, seen some miles, but cute atmosphere. Staff was A+. TyAnna was a server…super sweet and on top of our drinks and food. I had a bacon cheeseburger…great flavors, good sized. Decent fries. My dad had fish n chips…he seemed pleased with his meal too. Hard to get a in depth review from 79 year old guy, but he gave it 2 thumbs up.
Any place that nothing but locals come into you know has to be good. Nothing but a steady stream of regulars it seemed when we had lunch. If you’re in St George Utah, pop on in ..worth it.
My burger plate was 13 bucks …not much more than you’re paying at a fast food joint anymore.
I didn’t have that waffle sandwich, but damn ..would be worth the food coma!

November 2025 , My second experience here in the past few years.
We had a group of 8 for Breakfast Excellent at managing a 15 minute wait time. The young man kept updating us .
There was a little bit of a wait for our meals but the food all came out correctly and was hot and satisfying.
Home style cooking with a little added perfection.
The young lady serving us was friendly and responsive.
I will go there again when back in the area.

Wow. Best crispiest chicken fried steak I’ve had. And scone with honey butter yummm.
Only complaint is the glass top tables make it hard to cut the crispy fried steak because the plate keeps on slipping around.

Just had a birthday celebration today. Excellent in every way. Douglas, our waiter, is a new employee. He did an outstanding job remaining calm with all of our demands. Great food and great drinks. The scones are the best!

We sat in the patio, it was a beautiful morning. The food was flavorful and delicious. We got the pancakes, cobb omelet, and southern scramble. The service was quick and pleasant. Valerie was our server and she did a wonderful job.

First time here. We stopped by trying to find a place for breakfast and we all loved it. I had a meat lovers omelette with potatoes. It takes a while to get seated and for the waitress to get your order, but if you have patience for either this place is good and worth the wait.

They are only open till 3pm and breakfast is available all day. They do have alcohol on site and I was told there is brunch on the weekend. Food was good. I had an omelet which came with your choice potatoes and bread. Service was very good. Everyone in my party was satisfied with their meals. I will go back. I would like to try the brunch.

What a delightful breakfast place! Had amazing chicken and waffles , fried okra, and fry bread! So delicious! Super friendly service! Lots of parking! Seated right away! Did not play pool but they have a nice table! Will definitely go again!

From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The service was top-notch—attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. The food was incredible, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. You can tell they take pride in what they do. We will definitely be coming back!
