Belated post about a visit last summer (2025), when we discovered this lovely small-town oasis. The style is carefully designed mix of country casual and urban sleek. The pizzas are fabulous and specials include surprising seasonal ingredients (peaches!). Cocktails are creative, the wine list leans old world and is nicely value priced. Will expect to make return visits next time we’ll be in the area.

A group of friends and I had dinner at St. George Pizza on a mid-October trip to Maine and we loved it. We had four different types of pizza: cheese, pepperoni, and two special pies (pesto and vodka) that were absolutely to die for. The crust was cooked to perfect. I can be picky about pizza, and this is up there with any I’ve ever had. Plus the atmosphere was cozy and delightful with warm lighting and a rustic-style interior.
I then proceeded to leave my jacket there by accident and was unable to get it before leaving back to New York. I called the restaurant to see if they had it so someone could pick it up for me. St. George confirmed they had my jacket, and offered to ship it back to me free of charge. I just got the package in the mail today and they included a free St. George Pizza hat, which I intend to wear daily to advertise this absolutely extraordinary, kind, and scrumptious spot tucked away in Maine. Thank you Megs and George for your generosity and your delicious pizza!!!

We tried one of each pizza, the cheese, pepperoni, and mortadella special. They were all delicious. The crust was light and fluffy, and each had the perfect amount of toppings. Cozy little spot on the river, love the candlelight at each table. Quite the vibe. Thanks!

St. George Pizza is the kind of place that deserves to be wildly successful, but also I hope it doesn’t become capital-W wildly successful to the point that it’s impossible to ever get a table. Know what I mean? Like, I hope it keeps a comfortably sustainable level of success, so we can keep getting delicious pizza and ice cream here for years go come without having to fight for tables or reservations. What I mean to say is: The pizza and salads are wonderful, the digs are cozy, the service is lovely. Bring all your friends, but don’t let the New York Times write about it.

Excellent pizza and ambience. We recommend St George Pizza anyway. We got pepperoni oh so tasty. Parking was iffy but the short walk well worth the gastronomic delight.
