Reviews
The only area that could use improvement was the overall warmth of the staff. While service was solid, there were very few smiles or greetings upon arrival or departure, and the team seemed disengaged. That said, delivering great food and service is no small feat, and with a bit more friendliness, this place would be outstanding.
Their service is robotic and impersonal. They came to our table 3 times to check if we were ready to order in less than 5 minutes. Food took over 30 min to get to our table. The food is not authentic Thai cuisine—it tastes more like Chinese food.
Worst of all, my husband had severe food poisoning and was sick for 2 days after eating here. We had almost the same dish, but he had chicken instead. And we believe the chicken may have caused his food poisoning.
The price is reasonable, but I do not recommend this restaurant! There’s a lot to improve here!
I’ll explain point by point.
1. Terrible waitstaff. Our waitress barely spoke English, which caused constant misunderstandings. We had to repeat our order several times.
2. Soups and zero responsibility. We decided to order soup and specifically asked how spicy the tom yum was. The waitress confidently said it was not spicy at all. In reality, it was so spicy that we couldn’t eat it. Of course, no replacement was offered. To be fair, I ordered the coconut tom yum, and it was not that spicy, but that didn’t change the overall situation.
On top of that, when the waiters were bringing the soups, they spilled both dishes. The spilled bowls were simply placed on our table without any apology, as if we were animals, and then they just ran away.
3. No attention to a birthday. There were no compliments at all — no dessert, not even a symbolic 5% discount for a birthday. We later found out they can congratulate guests with a song, but once again, they “forgot” about us and never did it.
4. Poor food quality. The dishes were bad. Gyoza tasted like cheap frozen dumplings from a supermarket, sushi was bland, and the fish had no flavor at all. If you’re not familiar with Asian cuisine, you might not notice, but for those who love it, this place is simply cafeteria-level.
5. The final insult. At the end of the evening, I paid the bill and they “forgot” to give me my change back. The staff decided to leave themselves a tip — very convenient. I had to ask several times to get my change. This is complete disrespect toward guests. With this kind of service, I wouldn’t have wanted to leave even one dollar as a tip.
Conclusion: don’t be fooled by a large number of reviews. Save your money and choose another place. This café is absolutely not worth the price or the frustration.
Presentation was on top. Our sushi order was phenomenal and we also shared a pad Thai. Absolutely delicious. Wish we lived closer. But if we’re back in town, we will definitely come back. Thank you very much for your service. The restaurant is super clean and the design is wonderful. Thank you for cooking such delicious food.
Phenomenal!!!! 10/10
