St. Anthony’s is what we are missing in NH, a true bakery where bread is made. Their pastries are good, but the bread is excellent. I got a loaf of Normandy bread, made with Molasses and oats, absolutely delicious. Got there around 8 AM and the bread was warm and freshly made. The atmosphere is country, with residents meeting for morning coffee.

Finding a nice bakery that is family run is rare. When I find a good one, I tend to return again and again.

This little gem serves your standard baked goods along with breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I’ve only had the breakfast sandwiches. They taste as if someone in your family with good cooking chops had prepared them at home. Let’s just put it this way…. you will not want to go to Dunkin Donuts after this and have one of their sandwiches. Blech!

I’ve tried a few of their baked items and they are very good. They serve up a delicious apple strudel which is fantastic.

They have a small seating area. One of the fun parts is if you stay in the area and hang out, you’ll hear the locals’ chatter about what’s going on around town. Lots of fun to hear the latest gossip!

Love this place! The food is wonderful . The cinnamon rolls are on point.. The coffee as well. Anthony and staff are friendly and know their customers by name. I am new person around town as I work at the local florist . The people around here are so welcoming.

We tried sandwiches here as well as baked goods. It was early afternoon, so the selection wasnt huge but everything we had was awesome. Even ordered a second batch of stuff to bring home! We will be back soon!

The owner was very nice and patient because we came in just as he was about to close. We bought the old bread which lasted a long time and it was very tasty. I also got this flaky jelly filled pastry which was very good.

I give thanks to Saint Anthony’s Bakery for its Thanksgiving All Year Long sandwich on store baked 7 Grain Bread. I love this sandwich but never found perfection until this one. The homemade dressing made it unforgettable and the bread held up when I ate the second half of the sandwich the next day! I am looking forward to my next visit and resisting temptation so I can try another sandwich which I am sure will also be awesome! And you cannot find a friendlier or more charming spot to share lunch with a friend.

The bakery is in an old building by the river’s entrance at the bottom of Water St.
There’s some tables to sit and eat or you can order take away.
Came in a couple of times for its bakery goods and picked up a salad once. The food was good but nothing special.
It’s pricey at the cafe and the portions aren’t that big.
Once, a girl offered a discount near closing but none was offered after future visits.
