The hot and sour soup understood the assignment — 10/10 would sip dramatically again. The aloo tikki, however, seemed like it was going through something. We’ll give it space.
Iddiappam was good, soft, and minding its business..
Went during no-rush hour and honestly, that’s the real hack. Less chaos = better vibes. Overall, not bad, not mind-blowing, but will be back.
The person at the counter also said they do not have butter.
They gave us that tiny cube on top after requesting multiple times trying to explain that Benne means butter.
They charge you extra for the podi and Potato inside. $16 for this scam!
Dear owners/cooks,
Bangalore and Mysore name is not for making only money.
Kindly don’t argue with Karnataka people that Benne Dose is not actually cooked in butter. Benne means Butter.
Come eat in Bangalore at some iconic places. It will put your so called Bangalore Benne DosA and Mysore Masala DosA to shame.
Learn how Mysore Masale Dose and Bangalore Benne Dose is cooked!
Learn what condiments are served with it!
Do this before putting it on the menu and arguing so confidently when you know nothing.
Coming to the taste:
The dosa was half cooked and absolutely dry.
The potato inside did not even have mustard tadka let alone onion.
It was just Mashed potato with turmeric.
The Masala was just some basic Podi.
Apparently one chutney was supposed to be peanut chutney. There no taste of peanut or in-fact anything.
Dear Andhra Restaurant:
Peanut chutney and Allam Bellam chutney is not served in every South Indian state.
Don’t try to change our dishes for your convenience.
Benne Masale Dose is slathered with Kempu Chutney(Red chilly garlic) cooked in a generous quantity of butter!
It is served with only type of chutney “Coconut Chutney”
No dry podi, no sweet Allam Bellam.
Definitely no tasteless peanut chutney is served with it.
Mysore Masale Dose is slathered with Kempu Chutney(Red Chilly and garlic wet chutney)
Served with only Coconut Chutney and Sambar. No Andhra Condiments.
Mysore Bonda is actually Urad dal Vada in a round shape. Not Maida bonda.
The Mysore Bonda you serve is actually Mangalore bajji or Goli Bajji.
Kindly educate yourself and respect paying customers enough to cook the dish right and serve the right things.
I was traveling from Charlotte to Miami, and was craving for some comfort food, from the moment I walked in, it felt like I had stepped into an authentic Indian tiffins restaurant.
When I pointed this out, the person at the counter responded in an unbelievably rude and condescending way, trying to “explain” to me that this is what Chinese rice tastes like — which is honestly absurd. I’ve eaten multi-cuisine food across countries for years, and being spoken to like I don’t understand basic flavor was extremely insulting.
To make it worse, he said that since they made the dish 2 times, I should just accept it — basically implying that even if the food tastes bad, the customer should eat it because they “worked hard.” Completely illogical and unprofessional.
And after all this, he even asked if I wanted my money back. When I said no, he angrily came and threw the cash onto my table. Absolutely unacceptable behavior.
Overall, terrible food quality today and shockingly rude conduct. This experience alone is enough for me to stop recommending this place to anyone.
Please avoid going here — there are far better restaurants in the area.
and never get cheese pav bhaj and look at the quantity of bhaji .
Who adds Taco blend cheese in Pav Bhaji.
My kids didn’t eat .. it gave awful taste.
