I frequently visit this place, but the food has deteriorated significantly. Yesterday, I accompanied my family there, and my dad and aunt discovered an inedible foreign particle in the dosa. When I raised an alarm, they claimed it was from the coconut chutney, which is utterly false.

If you’re looking for a similar experience, I strongly advise against visiting this establishment.

Great South Indian joint. We had a large family gathering coming and this was the perfect breakfast of Idli, vada, upma with sambhar and chutney. The order was ready for my pickup absolutely fresh first thing in the morning. The food was flavorful and absolutely fantastic. I will definitely recommend it and come here again.

Update:

I recently stopped by here again for lunch and had a pleasant meal. We ordered the Masala Dosa, which was nicely crisp with a well‑seasoned potato filling. The Mysore Masala Dosa offered a gentle heat from its red chutney, complementing the dosa without overwhelming it.

The Rava Cheese Plain Dosa was a subtle variation on the classic, with a light semolina texture and just enough melted cheese to add a bit of richness. To round out the meal, the Madras Coffee was smooth and slightly bold, a good pairing with the dosas.

Service was polite and our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The dining area is clean and comfortable, making it a good choice for a straightforward South Indian meal. If you’re in the Parsippany area and looking for decent dosas and filter coffee, Ganesh’s is worth a try.

Great Indian fast food. I’m never the only non-Indian customer as this place is a favorite for natives and for the locals and businessmen alike. Bold flavors may make spice amateurs a bit scared but once you get used to the bold flavors you’ll be back. I started out going to their restaurant in Jersey City many years ago and was surprised to see one in eastern Morris County. I’ve been eating Dosa’s since 2000 and love them. Palek Paner Masala Dosa has been my goto for many years. I need to find an Indian friend to recommend other plates. Im not sure what else to order.

Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This restaurant is 45 mins from my house and I don’t mind driving an hour and half round trip to have their delicious food. I usually get Mysore Bhonda/Bhaji. They serve 8 bhondas with a small peanut/coconut chutney (you can ask for more) for 11$. Sambar is free to take on the side beside the commercial fridge. Sambar to buy is 8, 16, & 32oz displayed on the wall. Chai is delicious as well, condiments besides the sambar stand.

Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I had 0 bad service from these guys and I have been coming to them since 2018. Dosas, chais, & vadas are flying through the counters with speedy fast service. There’s an old man at the counter involved in his phone, not sure if he is the one that people keep referring to in the reviews, but he was welcoming and directed menu when I was lost (testing them).

Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The only reason I give them 4 stars and not 5 is the lack of vision. The restaurant is absolutely huge with a massive kitchen. Then can do so many things to make it look so authentic and beautiful, however, it looks grim and dull. People come, eat, & go, however, it would be nice to have an aesthetic ambience to the restaurant. There’s a beautiful Ganesh altar, but it’s kept in the corner which no one can see. Sad that this restaurant is doing much with the ambience. Would love to see some renovations.

I was quite new to this place and I found this place which has got different kinds of Dosa Options available. If you are Dosa Lover I think this has to be your go to stop to try.Coming to the quality it is commendable, as it gives an authentic flavor. The restaurant is well maintained and most importantly the orders were delivered within no time…I am looking forward to stop by and try other options as well.

Nobody comes here for the o.k. atmosphere & service, unless they want an authentic, small-town South Indian cafe experience; it’s the food silly! Order the fine masala dosa or other delights and earn the right to help yourself to the magical sambar pot in the rear . . . If there are gods, it is clearly here that they dine; sublime is the only word for this humble vegetable stew! Not for the faint of heart regarding spiciness, this sambar cannot be improved in any way, in India, New Jersey, or anywhere. I have regularly asked the proprietor to name his price for the recipe, to which his reply is ever to smile and shake his head, “no, no recipe,” he says, a man sure of his gifts and talents – sublime, just sublime.

Come here often but past two times food and service has been terrible. First time dosa came soggy. Second time dosas were not even made for 15-20 mins. Then i ask them how long and they forgot my order. We had to wait 30 to 40 minutes to get our own dosa. No apology or anything.

Ordered Pav Bhaji – it comes with 2 pav’s ..one of them was so thin (thickness of Thomas’s Thin Bagel) – sent it back and they changed the bottom part only and the top one was like the last thin slice in bread packet(see picture) and served me. And then I see the fungus sticking to the lime piece (also pic attached) …they took it inside changed the plate served a same pav and bhaji with a new piece of lime which was so dry that on squeezing only 1 drop came out…this is utterly disappointing…this place is becoming bad to worse to worst…used to be a good place pre-covid but not anymore..no wonder the place was empty at peak lunch hour
