Everything is always delicious. My brother who has traveled extensively and has lots of great Indian food in his own city says this beats all of it. The rajasthani dosa, paneer butter masala, veg biriyani, and Sri balaji noodles are our favorites! Kids love the butter paneer. Brunch is also great! The staff are really kind and will help with questions. My mother in law has food allergies and they were able to answer questions and accommodate in some ways.

Sri Balaji Kitchen in Davidson is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic South Indian vegetarian cuisine! From the moment you walk in, the cozy ambiance and inviting aroma of spices set the stage for a fantastic dining experience. I’ve been here twice, and each visit feels like a culinary journey to India. The warm, traditional decor and friendly staff make it perfect for both family outings and solo meals.
One of the highlights for me is their panakam, a traditional South Indian drink that’s a refreshing blend of jaggery, ginger, cardamom, and a hint of lemon. It’s served chilled, and the balance of sweet and spicy notes is simply divine—a perfect way to start the meal.
The dosas here are nothing short of flavor —crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, stuffed with a perfectly spiced potato filling. It’s served with an array of chutneys and sambar that elevate every bite.
Service was just below average. They didn’t even ask how the food was.
The only thing I’d love to see is Sri Balaji Kitchen expanding to the Raleigh area!

Very authentic South Indian food!
I’ve visited this place multiple times and it never disappoints-especially for South Indian tiffins and weekend thali. The food tastes homely and truly authentic..
My picks:
Idly Sambar / Ghee Podi Idly
Medu Vada – Sambar
Kadapa mirapakai & Spl Balaji Dosa
Onion Uttappam
Madras Filter Coffee (a must!)
The ambience is great, clean, and welcoming. I also want to appreciate the service improvement- better compared to last time, and the staff was attentive and quick this time.
Overall, a great place for authentic South Indian food in the area.

A great authentic south indian vegetarian restaurant in the concord area. Their weekend veg thali is a must try. The kids combo was great value. Service was fast and great ambience. Will definitely repeat. Highly recommend this place.

“Good experience at this Indian restaurant with a lot of veggie options, which I really appreciated. The ambiance was nice and the service was friendly, but the food was just okay on the day we visited. Some dishes lacked the usual bold flavors I expect from Indian cuisine, and it felt like something was missing. Still, I’d give it another try in the future, as the menu variety for vegetarians is a big plus!” They served amazing butter milk at the beginning.

Not visiting this place again. The first thing I didn’t like here is unfriendliness of the staff. We picked up a birthday cake (egg less) on the way to this restaurant and the moment the waiter saw us he said in a rude tone that cakes are not allowed to cut inside. My kids are fully disappointed. Later we placed an order and nothing was Wow. No item is flavorful or tasty. Only liked the buttermilk welcome drink. Not worth trying this place.
Tandoor Paneer – just ok
Onion Ravva dosa – not crispy and tasteless
Kids combo – just average taste.
Chole batura – tasteless curry and batura was ok.
Karnataka masala dosa – tasteless dosa and upma
