Staff is great, community pretty solid, food is good but small for the price. To be expected in Juneau, but a meatball sub with 3 meatballs is a crime. Fries were good, but didn’t make up for the small sandwich.

This is the food side of Squirez, the service was fantastic! We walked in with a party of ten and no reservation, we’re seated immediately, ordered some pitchers from the bar and grabbed some menus. Everything on the menu looked great; we got a couple orders of wings, a couple orders of the Philly cheese, a couple orders of the halibut fish tacos and some salads. All of the food was amazing, everyone was very happy with the food and service.

We arrived in the borough of Juneau less than a week ago and have been taking advantage of the days before the cruise ships arrive!
One of our favorite local discoveries, is a local bar called called Squires. It is a sports bar with a good view, t.v. ‘s, pool tables, cheap drinks and great service. Morgan was our bartendress and she was fantastic; not only making great drinks, but sharing so many ins and outs of life in Juneau.
There is a separate business for food tucked in a corner called The Anchor. The food is fantastic and the owner emulates that warm, welcoming Alaskan spirit that we have come to adore.

The four of us a picked the same food- Caesar salad with Halibut. Fresh crisp salad with crunchy croutons and plenty of Parmesan cheese! Just the way I like it! The halibut on top was delicious. Our rounds of beer were served quickly and replenished quickly when needed. My husband and I are visiting Juneau and the others with us live here and suggested we eat at Squirez this evening. Very pleased! The view is grand and we enjoyed the looking at the boats and the large USCG vessel anchored in the harbor! Highly recommend!

I loved this place when I was visiting. However, I left a cash tip on my order a couple of weeks ago and some days later I noticed that my card was charged again for another tip on top of what I left. Thats not how business is done. Coming from someone who has worked in the industry. I do not appreciate being stolen from.
