Had a wonderful dinner here on a Sunday night. Th service was super friendly and very attentive even as it got busier in the night. I definitely recommend getting a reservation or getting there early as it fills up very quickly after 5pm
Hushpuppys were delicious loved having that instead of bread
We came to eat fish and our two entrees were amazing and gave you plenty of food. Really enjoyed the potatoes/mushrooms of the horseradish encrusted tilapia
The spicy pasta dish could of been a little more spicy but it was still very tasty with plenty of shrimp
I loved the keylime pie and the pumpkin cheesecake

What a wonderful dinner! The food was phenomenal, and our server was lovely. You must try the shrimp & grits, and the pesto mayo served with the calamari is outstanding!

Vivian was every customer’s dream server. She was very pleaseant, friendly, and made us feel like we were her family. You can tell that she really enjoys her job and she went out of her way to help us and was also really knowledgeable when answering our questions. Her attention to detail and customer service are top notch which made the already awesome food taste even better. If you want a great dining experience, ask for her!

By far the best meal we have had in NC so far! Such a lovely place full of lovely people. The cod was excellent – and that’s coming from someone who is not a seafood guy! Me on the other hand, full-time seafood lover who loved my dish too. We are thinking of moving down here in a few years and are looking forward to coming back to try more. Our server was such a doll. Such a sweet girl. Ashley H is the type of server that will make your experience at Squid’s the most memorable. She gave us free dessert but unfortunately I didn’t get to take a picture because we went full pig on it instantly. Loved this place 12/10!

I am a the the biggest seafood snob . My mother and father in law took my wife and I here on my 40th birthday Yeah, atmosphere amazing, The server WAS THE BEST! He would have impressed Gordon Ramsay. Very knowledgeable about everything on the menu . Everything thing we ordered was a 10! Even though this place seemed to be a fine dining establishment. They let us pull out camera and stage a photo with balloons and a champagne toast .. best sea food in RALEIGH-Durham-chapel hill. Maybe NC

Not great. We waited 20, almost 30 minutes for someone to greet our table last night. We both ordered the ribeye and it was seasoned poorly and it was just a bad cut – about 25% fat. Way overpriced for what we got. Disappointed, we’ve been here a few times and this was far below the usual standard.

Great seafood spot. Fresh and local options always available. I much prefer the bar area. The main dining room is rather dated and. Great oysters, hush puppies, and grilled skewers.

My husband and I and another couple had dinner at Squids tonight. There are many restaurants to choose from in the Triangle but we drive 30 minutes to Squids consistently. For the service. For the food. For the atmosphere. Tonight we were lucky to have Adam as our waiter. We could not have done better. He added so much to our enjoyment of the evening with his charm, his cheerful attitude and his work ethic. Our meals of bouillabaisse, swordfish and seared tuna were all excellent, finishing up with blueberry sorbet, the dessert that keeps me coming back. And one with a candle for my husband’s 80th birthday…thank you, Adam♥️ Finally the atmosphere. Dining at Squids is like returning to the fine Southern restaurants of the 50’s and 60’s where you can hear yourselves think and don’t have to shout over loud music to be heard. You see diners of all ages from senior citizens to young families with toddlers in tow…all are welcome at Squids. Hope Squids never changes.

Ordered 2lbs of snow crab legs. They were great. Boiled exactly right and flavorful.
Also ordered the 1.25lb lobster. It was tough and chewy, perhaps over boiled. Didn’t prefer it but was able to enjoy my plates of crab legs.

Haven’t dined here in ages, however after a great experience and awesome food, I wonder why I had waited so long to return.
Now, I definitely see why squids has bee. A local favorite for years and stood the test of time. Highly recommended
