The service here was exceptional — everyone was friendly and attentive, which made for a great experience. I really enjoyed that they included miso soup with the meal, a nice touch you don’t always see at poke places. I do wish they offered kimchi as one of the topping options, though. Parking was a bit tricky, but overall, the food was fresh and the experience was enjoyable.

As soon as you walk into the door you just know your about to experience something different and amazing. The people working here and bright and cheerful with plenty of experience to help you make the best food experience you can. The food is amazingly fresh and perfectly handled. Making this a superior place to get your Poke Bowl to its best. Flavor and plenty of choices help make this place amazing as well as my go-to spot! Thank you for making all of my recent visits truly tasty, flavorful, and 100% enjoyable. Keep up the amazing work and amazing food!

Ordered the Hawaian poke and a poke with edamame noodles. Good portion size. The complimentary miso soup is delicious. Friendly staff.

I wish they had more vegan and vegetarian protein options. However, I would say it’s pretty standard for places to only offer tofu as an alternative. I would have liked to order the kids’ bowl, but they only allow it for those 12 and under. I understand why, and I know that’s pretty standard, but I just wanted a smaller portion than the small size. I wasn’t very hungry, and I feel they should allow people to order it. Overall, though, I really liked the place!

There was two ladies – one with bright pink hair and another one. The other lady was very friendly and made light conversation with me today Saturday October 18 at about 2PM. She was great.

Their poke was very decent and the portions were large. They even give you free miso soup. Their interior is pretty cute too.

I give this place 4 stars. I think if they had real crab instead of imitation I would’ve given it a 5. Their choice of what they’re playing on the TV is bizarre – a swamp with an alligator in it. Don’t know why, but this impacted my appetite. I don’t want to see that here. Given that it’s Katy asia town, and the interior is nice, why not play something cute?

Budget friendly. I recommend it

If I could rate their poke it would be 4.5/5. Overall, everything tasted fresh and delicious. However, I wish they had more toppings options and maybe be more generous with the toppings amount? Also, I got the spicy mayo with the sesame sauce, but I didn’t think it was spicy enough for my taste. We were very hungry walking in here and we both got the large bowl. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they had complimentary miso soup (if you dined in). I feel bad judging the miso soup since it was free, but I didn’t finish my bowl (maybe it was just old but I had to really dig for seaweed and tofu.) I would still recommend this place since the decoration was super cute, the staff was very friendly, and their poke was pretty good.

There’s a plethora of poke spots in the Greater Houston area to choose from but out of all of them, Square Root Poke is my favorite place. I make my own bowl: large bowl of sushi rice with bay scallops, tuna, and salmon as the core selections, and topped with whatever I like. I eat that up so fast that my complimentary miso soup is still pretty warm when I consume it at the end of the meal. I’ve been going here since Katy Asia Town first opened and this place was amongst one of the original tenants. I think the food is fresh and I’ve never had a bad experience here. If I plan to eat at other spots in the plaza, I would order to-go after I dine in at Square Root Poke!

We chose this please for great reviews but we were really disappointed when we got our food. All six of us ordered large bowls but they all were half full! My salad mix leaves were not fresh, I found three yellow leaves with slimy stuff on them (picture attached) Miso soup was also on a weird side, very watery and had sweet taste to it. Other than that all other food items seemed to be fresh, the place is very clean and the service is good.

The food quality here is good, but portion-wise, it is not worth $16 (tax included) for a large bowl. There are many choices and add-on options for your poké. However, after adding everything into my personalized three-protein large bowl, it still does not make me full at all. Everything added on is a bite-sized scoop with a not-so-large bowl of rice to begin with. I personally won’t come back because of the price-to-portion ratio of this place. However, people who love poké or want to try it out can still come, but it’s just average poké, nothing special.
