Social Profile:

Square One Brewery & Distillery opened its doors in February 2006 as a neighborhood brewery and restaurant, and in 2008 proudly became Missouri’s first microdistillery since Prohibition. From the beginning, our mission has been to craft beers and spirits with distinctive character and exceptional quality—flavors you won’t find in mass production. By blending the expertise of our master brewer, distiller, and chef, we create a truly unique experience, offering an ever-evolving lineup of bold, creative, and delicious tastes for our guests.

Global pub grub pairs with craft beer & house spirits in a chill setup with a vintage bar & patio.

The food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. The grits in the shrimp and grits were smooth and creamy. And the crab cake sliders were crispy. The beer the server recommended was on point too. I highly recommend and will be back.

Nice relaxing place. The food is always delicious and the service is always top notch.
We brought home one of their specialty.Beers this time to add to our wisconsin beer cheese soup, as I think it will be a perfect blend. We got there around 2:30 PM. There was no wait in line. The food came quickly. Everything hot and served as ordered. The home made chips were delicious.

This is a great place to visit and children are welcome. Parking is along the street and free.

We had such a great experience at Square One Brewery! The food was excellent. I had the grilled salmon, which was cooked perfectly, and my husband enjoyed the pot roast sandwich, which was hearty and full of flavor.

One of my favorite things about the visit was their patio. It’s spacious, comfortable, and best of all, dog-friendly. A huge plus for us since we had Poe and Molly in tow. It made for such a relaxed and enjoyable dinner.

Tasty snacks! Try the beer cheese soup.
They have a great beer flight option, if you’re not sure what to get – and they make some good craft cocktails as well.

Sunday evenings are chill if you just need a place to hang at the bar.

The bartender was super cool. Whitney, I think. Totally awesome – made some great suggestions and conversational, which are sometimes a lost art in service these days.

Located in historic Lafayette Square, this is a classic “Old School” bar serving delicious drinks and meals with both indoor and outdoor seating.

They are listed as both a brewery and distillery but we only tried their spirits. They make their own whiskeys, gins, vodkas ,run and agave.

We decided to try to a flight…Urban bourbon, blueberry bourbon, strawberry basil gin and Vermont night liquor. The bourbons were very light and easy drinking. I did not taste much blueberry. My wife loved the strawberry basil infused gin. The Vermont Night liqueur was my least favorite. Whiskey infused with citrus zest, winter spices and vanilla sweetened with maple syrup. Way too many flavors plus the spices took over .

It was a shame we had just eaten as their food menu looked amazing.

I would like to try their beers if I’m ever in the area again.

If you love historic buildings as this place was built in 1883 and love crafted beers and spirits, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

My Scottched egg was a bit over cooked but besides that everything about it was amazing. The sauce that comes with the cod basket is also great. Definitely a good spot to eat no matter what you get.

I really like this place. It has a neighborhood pub sort of vibe, and is located in a gentrified part of town. Great beer selection, especially for Fall, and the food was excellent. I especially like breweries who are also distilleries, and while I was disappointed in their bourbon their single malt is pretty damn good.

Square One is our go-to place for great beer and stellar wings. The atmosphere is fun and laid back and the service always friendly. Today was a Square One day with our usual, and we purchased their whiskey for gifts.

Three of us went to Square 1 brewery for a late lunch on a Thursday afternoon. There were a few customers in the front bar area but we continued on to the back room. We all ordered a drink. I tried the South City Eclipse Black IPA which I really liked. Nice dark appearance with a lighter taste. The other two ordered mixed drinks. I had the cob salad which was so large that I took 2/3 home to make another meal. It was very good. My Godson had the cheese soup which is his favorite along with the brat and beef burger and fries. He took over half home in a doggie bag. We all really enjoyed our meals. Our server checked in frequently and the owner even came by a time or two. We will definitely return. On the way out we looked at the merchandise. I almost bought the Abs by Ale shirt but my husband drinks IPAs. We parked across the street.

Square one is a must go every time we come to or pass through Saint Louis.

We were recommend this gem 3 years ago and have always had amazing service, great liquor, and even better food. The servers have always been knowledgeable and have never steared us wrong.

This trip we went for dinner Friday night which has been our norm, though per Kelly’s recommendation came back today for brunch. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing and the perfect end to our trip.

The food Kelly recommend for both dinner and brunch fit the spot for my husband and I who have vastly different desires and dietary requirements. Kelly was amazing and took what has always been a positive experience and elevated it. We look forward to being back and saint louis and returning to our very spot. Hope to have kelly as our server again.
