Our latest visit late Oct 2025 – this place has it all! If you want a laid-back bar/restaurant with great food/drinks, live entertainment and THE BEST water view, THIS is it! This has quickly become our go-to place to spend a lazy afternoon and have an early dinner! Great place to watch boats coming/going on the Ft. Pierce harbor inlet channel as well as watching people walking and fishermen on the boardwalk; always something going on. Highly recommended.
Mid-Oct 2025 – This is our second or third visit to this restaurant/bar. Always a fun time. The setting is great; located right on the inlet channel/waters to the Fort Pierce Harbor and bridges. There are two or three bar areas where you can place your drink and food orders. For the food, you get a little buzzer and then go to the kitchen area to pick up your order(s). We try to get there before 5 PM before the restaurant/bar becomes super busy. They’ve got a super menu and the soups, sandwiches and entrees always come out nice and hot. For us, the major hooks are the setting right on the water and the good food. Strongly recommended.

After dinner stroll through the jetty lead us here. The place was jamming with cool vibes and live music so we decided to walk in — it is 21 and older only with bouncer carding and visible sign. The population was mixed young and older and everyone appeared to be enjoying the band. It is an open air venue with sandy floors and wooded picnic tables and plastic seats. The menu is pulled up by phone app. However we just ordered d4inks, no food. The drinks were on point and generous in liquor content. Plenty of bathrooms stalls. Place overlooking the jetty water would have been a beautiful landscape to see during the day however we arrived late evening and it was a warmer feel with tiki candles and festive lighting entwined through the palm trees that hovered above us. The music was enjoyed so much we ended up staying longer than anticipated. The only issue was the constant second hand smoke that blew our way with the breeze from others sitting nearby.

Perfect place for a drink after a beach day. The view is amazing.
No kids and pets allowed.
Bar menu, you have to order and pick up your own food and drinks.
For sure I’m coming back to enjoy the sunset with a drink.
I’m giving four stars to food but we only try one appetizer and it was good but I don’t really know about the rest of food.
No Apple Pay accepted

Friendly bar tenders in a “real” florida on the water vibe. Good fries and good beer although they only serve bottles. Good live music as well.

My first time here. You walk in and find our own table. The only thing I did not like was you have no server. To eat you scan a qr code the table and walk to the bar, wait in line in to place your order. They give you a buzzer and you walk up to oick up your food to bring back to the table. I got the Cuban which was not bad. Drinks were pretty good. My friend had a something monkey drink which was delicious and I had an electric lemonade that was also good. Live music was playing on the Saturday night we were there. Views and the sunset were beautiful.

Square Grouper Tiki Bar is a fantastic outdoor spot with a great vibe! While it’s completely outdoors, there’s plenty of coverage, so you can enjoy the atmosphere rain or shine. The entire place, including the restrooms, was impressively clean.
I came for happy hour, and it was amazing—ALL beers were just $3! I also had a bowl of chili, which was absolutely delicious. I wish I’d been hungrier to try more from the menu because everything looked great.
Special shoutout to Olivia, who was so lovely and made the visit even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back for the great deals, delicious food, and friendly service.

On a beautiful, sunny, 80° Sunday afternoon in mid-January, we saw this place while walking the jetty and checked it out. As mentioned, it’s all self-serve (hence 1 star for that) at the bar, and pick up, no big deal. We just had nachos and a couple of bottles of beer. The natcho basket was huge, good quality, and the beers were cold! Fun tropical semi-outdoor ‘decor’ and vibe, and nice view of the channel. Nice female bartender, mostly jovial customers, no kids, no pets, no skeeters as others have reported. We’ll be back (early) as I can see how this apparently very popular place could get crowded!

Tori was awesome. Spunky from the moment we walked in the place. With a joke and a smile, she immediately made points with the group. Quick to slake our thirsts with a beverage and followed up with shirt sales to the entire group. A must stop for anyone close to this establishment. Great service and very inviting.

Square Grouper in Fort Pierce is a laid-back, fun spot that really nails the beachy, local vibe. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, perfect for hanging out with friends or grabbing a drink after a long day.
The drink selection is solid, with a good mix of beers, cocktails, and local favorites. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the experience enjoyable without being over the top.
Overall, Square Grouper is a great place to relax, enjoy a drink, and soak in a true Florida coastal bar atmosphere.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Fort Pierce.
