Wow this place was amazing. My girlfriend and I came here for dinner and we will definitely be coming back. The choice of food was great and it tasted delicious. The staff were absolutely lovely, they all had a smile on their face and they were so attentive and kind. Definitely recommend going when there is live piano as it adds to the whole experience and the pianist was absolutely brilliant.
If you are looking for a romantic date night or even just good food and great service/atmosphere then definitely pick this place.

We ordered a hash brown dish with avocado, and my partner had sourdough with smashed avocado and eggs. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The bread was extremely soggy, the hash brown didn’t taste fresh, and the seeds on the plate had a bad smell and taste.
Although the waiter was polite and helpful, the food quality was really poor for the price. There also seemed to be more managers than guests, which was a bit strange. After eating there, both of us felt unwell in our stomachs.
Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone. It felt like a tourist trap and definitely not worth the money.

We Had lunch over the weekend , it was quite chill but still busy, considering we did reservation for indoor- preferred to sit in terrace. Meal selection was not bad but fish and chips were another level ✨ so crispy and fresh (big as well). Steak sandwich was a bit disappointing considering had very little beef inside. Overall meals were nice, staff was attentive and atmosphere was good

We went to the square last night for my 3rd birthday running as this is defo one of ur favourite spots! We love being able to eat outside at night with no coat on as the heaters are good you can comfortably sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere of the prestigious Bath Abbey. They also have Iive music which was why we went there the first time it’s a vibe!
The food was delicious we had the tiger prawns and a side of olives to start! Highly recommend the tiger prawns tomato, feta and spice is a win with prawns.
I had the spiced monkfish for mains is so tasty with mussels in the sauce can’t go wrong! My partner had the chicken schnitzel which is HUGE! With truffles fries and a blue cheese for our chips
Lastly we tried a fair few cocktails and were most impressed , strong full of flavour and quirky! Will add pics but another 11/10 for the square, cant wait to return for a big family Christmas meal in a few weeks. ▪️

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening! The Hugo Spritz were fantastic & loved the pianist! Food was very nice too! My favourite part was meeting the 2 most beautiful dogs! Love the vibe here!

This was my second visit to the Square Grill and just as enjoyable as the first. By request, we sat near the excellent pianist and enjoyed olives and cheesy garlic bread, followed by roast beef and pork. The food is delicious with generous portions, sadly leaving no room for the attractive desserts!
The service is utterly immaculate – all staff are courteous, attentive and efficient.
It was my husband’s birthday and to our surprise, the pianist played for us and a courtesy brownie and candle on a decorated plate were served. Thank you so much for this!
The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. All the other customers spontaneously sang to and applauded my husband.

It was Boxing Day and we were enjoying exploring Bath. My Sister in law booked this place for lunch. It was just as well she booked as it was busy when we arrived. The Square is very central to Bath. I had fish pie and it was lovely. There was six of us and we all enjoyed what we had to eat and the service was very good. I would certainly recommend booking in advance.

Went for lunch here as other places were packed. Never been here before but quickly found out that this place was fantastic with very attentive staff. Had a wheelchair with us which was stored for us up on entering which made us feel like we were wanted. Faultless food with a good size menu and very well dressed staff. Would recommend

We visited The Square Grill in Bath on Saturday and had an absolutely fantastic evening. The atmosphere was brilliant — there was a pianist/singer in the bar who interacted with diners, which added such a warm, lively feel to the night. You can choose to sit in a quieter area, but we’re so glad we opted for the bar as it really made the experience.
The service was excellent. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to be enjoying being there, which always makes such a difference.
The food was outstanding — honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The dishes are thoughtfully put together with complex ingredients that work beautifully together. Every mouthful was incredible. I had the smoked duck starter, and I’ve never tasted anything like it before.
It’s not a cheap night out, but it’s worth every penny if you’re treating yourself. The cocktails were also superb — the best Piña Colada I’ve ever had. A truly memorable experience and one I’d highly recommend.
