Sadly after Chef William left the service has gone downhill. The waiter for dinner Dennis does not want to be there. Makes drinks incorrectly and does not even say a word. He grunts in response to questions. Thankfully the breakfast people are still amazing. If nothing is done we will stay some place else in the future. Franklin Cindy Ruth Carmen are left overs from Chef William and continue to be excellent.

Saturday night I searched for dinner, surprised to find it in Holiday Inn hotel, Jessup, Maryland.
Indecisive about dining here, but positive reviews, let’s try dining here.
a lovely, attentive, friendly bar staff invited to choose anywhere seating. Menus on the table, simple and refined choices.
The good portion crab cakes entree was excellent no fillers, excellent sides.
Quesadillas were outstanding, I know I had my share.
Hmmm, I will explore Spurrier’s breakfast.

There’s 3 or 4 quick service restaurants here but only one was open with very limited choices. The hamburger with cheese, bacon and onion rings itself was good. However, the bun was really dry. The hotdog was good, but again the bun was really dry. Their fries were actually cooked to perfection and delicious. Their cheesecake was very good. It was pretty busy down there and there was only one checkout lane and the lady running it was more concerned with her text messages than cashing people out.

Spurrier’s Restaurant and Lounge has an incredible view and surroundings from both in and out. I just spent but a day there, and I had an incredible time. The surroundings were neat and there were ample parking lot. Staff were polite, professional, and helpful. They do sell snacks. A special occasion gave me the chance to visit and to explore what do they offer. You can book a reservation. Stairs and elevator are available but I prefer using my legs. You can’t miss it. It’s within the city, and businesses are all around. I didn’t order any food from there, so I don’t know how their food taste, but what I can say is that the occasion I was invited to, the food was great. The food is more traditional based on the event. But overall, the staff were excellent and they did their very best to get everyone situated and to feel at home.

Cons: literally con artists. Tracy was super friendly. Took our order to go, had our drinks made while we waited, and made small talk. They forgot my onion rings, but that stuff happens. Paid with a 100 dollar bill. Tracy remarked she hadn’t seen one in a while. Had to go to the front desk to get change. Came back with 5s and 1s and counted out a ton of bills. I realized it was short by $20 and said so. She hadn’t brought back the bill for me to review and was flustered about the money. Came back with the correct change in mostly 20s and said the man that made change for her at the front desk was playing a prank on her. Thank God I realized that the change was wrong. I’ll be filing a formal complaint with holiday inn corporate offices.

Long wait times. Horrible service and inattentive staff and management.
They tried two times to cook my steak properly which failed miserably. Served me the wrong fries and then said they were out of the ones I wanted. I was there almost two hours and was only served two drinks which I had to ask for and never received the water I requested. Then was told they were closing when I refused the second steak and was handed my bill. Will never stay at this hotel or order food here again.
