Pros: hamburger was very good.
Cons: 40 MINUTES we had to wait for a couple of burgers. Unacceptable.
Out of onion rings. On a weekend? What? It wasn’t even late.
Chicken nuggets were processed frozen not good.
The small eating area is not connected to other building and when there’s a big group you won’t get a seat.
The bugs. Ugh. Don’t eat in your car.

Perhaps the best steak fingers Ive ever eaten. Fries were delish. Should have tried the onion rings and forgot. Incredibly reasonable prices. Delicious milk shakes too. This is a verrrry old school drive in. They have a dining room but we ate in the car.

Been here a number of times. Never been disappointed with the burgers. Should have stuck with them. Deluxe nachos were either greasy or watery, not sure which. Bun was burnt on chicken fried steak sandwich.

We have really only had their ice cream, fried oreos, onion rings, and pineapple dole whip. Their dole whip is my favorite and I wish that it was something they carried all the time. It is very cute traditional dinner like feel. The lines can get long but that means several people enjoy it. We didn’t care for their corn dog or the cheese sticks. We will definitely come back for dessert though.

KEEP THIS PLACE OPEN PLEASE AT ALL COST!!! HORRIBLE NEWS!!! Burgers and Corn Dogs are out of this world! Old fashion kind of side of the road food that’s SO hard to come by nowadays. Oh yea!! Those Onion Rings and Malts!!! (

You are truly missing out if you don’t get to Spurlock’s Malt Shop for retro fun and amazing roadside food. I’m not sure how Guy Fieri was never sent here.
Must haves: Spurlock Dog (looks like a corn dog but way different) incredible batter made from I believe buckwheat and it’s delicious! A malt shake, I personally love a pineapple malt shake but their chocolate malt shake is fantastic. If you’re looking for the feel of a retro drive-in (what sonic used to be) and a great bite to eat, head to Spurlock’s IMMEDIATELY.

Update four years later:
Unfortunately this place has gone downhill. Today I ordered a kid’s meal because the prices were a little outrageous. I specifically asked for a burger with nothing on it but she’s and they gave me it with everything including mustard and pickles which were disgusting. The fries went cold very fast, and even though they gave an estimate of 20 minute wait we had to wait at least 30 minutes. When I went back after 25 minutes and asked where our food was she looked at us weird like I was about to order again. Also I asked for a half and half tea and it came unsweetened. I unfortunately most likely won’t be coming back here ever again.

Tasty quality food. I don’t give a place 5 stars often. They have to have something really good about them to get it. This place is a diner and a drive-in. Take your pick. The diner is a warm small section next door. The interior looks like it jumped out of a 50s dream. They play music from the jive era too, while you enjoy your delicious meal. Definitely coming back !

PS, the kids meals come in a cute car shaped box.

As far as restaurants go, it’s not what you would expect. It’s very casual but it’s set up so well as a 50s malt shop! The decorations and music were very fitting. It wasn’t busy at all and our food was done within a reasonable time. Time travel doesn’t exist, but this place does!

This was a fun spot for lunch today. It’s really cold so they weren’t terribly busy. Their dining area was fun and had cute 50’s era decor. I had the steak fingers meal and listened to Summer Nights from Grease. Food was good, and average pricing. I’d definitely go back. The burgers looked super tasty.
