This was our first time here. First, our server was really great! I’m not sure her name but she interacted with our son and was very friendly.
We were not at all impressed with the biscuits and gravy and felt like it was straight out of a can. We were also very excited about the sourdough bread but the butter tasted kindof burnt or old or something and we didn’t end up eating it. I was, however, very impressed with the feta cheese in my gyro omelet. It was so good and like no feta I’ve had before. I asked the server about it and she said the owner brings it from Detroit. The gyro meat had very good flavor as well, which is not usually the case at many restaurants. The corned beef hash wasn’t from a can and my son loved it! I inquired about the desserts in the case as I paid my bill and the lady was very friendly and patient as she explained all of them. We got a coconut cake with raspberry filling. Very good!

The breakfast was decent. My husband really liked the Mexican omelet. I had one scrambled egg with bacon and potatoes. The bacon was not crisp – not cooked. My husband wouldn’t even eat them. He liked the soft potatoes; me, not so much. The one good thing was the price. But if you can’t eat the food, the price doesn’t matter much.

The staff and service were absolutely wonderful.

Sadly, the food and coffee were not the greatest. The coffee on the Saturday I visited was very weak and watery. I ordered my eggs over-medium and they were quite runny and barely cooked to over easy. The pancakes were fluffy, but tasted like not enough sugar and too much baking powder was used, which can make them almost salty tasting; they were not terribly sweet.

But again, our waitress was fantastic, we were greeted warmly and seated quickly, and the restaurant, including the women’s restroom, we’re very clean and well kept.

Food was horrible.. I could smell the spoiled American Fries from my plate.. like a nasty vinegar smell.. I didn’t even. try them.. The scrambled eggs tasted like lemon juice.. the restaurant is in disrepair, seats are ripped up and dining room is in general need of a refresh.. I would definitely save your money and go somewhere else.

GREAT PLACE. I keep leaving my card for the owner, after breakfast on Sundays. Wish he would call this local guy. Appreciate all of you involved making this a phenomenal local restaurant. It’s not easy!

Nice local diner with a number of good lunch options. I had the club which had generous portions. I didn’t try one, but the Greek desserts looked great.

Spuds is always good. It’s one of those places that is like an institution but a good one. Clean, foods always good, staff is always the coolest. Always a good daily special. Fair prices. Definitely worth stopping by and checking out.

Its a typical family dinner with drab decor and signs they’ve been there a long time. But they’ve been there a long time because the food is good and staff are really experienced.

There is a small bakery counter with interesting Greek pastries.
