A funky diner-style cafe literally on the airstrip at the “Jefferson County International Airport” … It’s full of aviation memorabilia and little twists on family diner fair (a sourdough turkey sandwich with bacon, jalapenos… and raspberry jam.) We were there about 1 PM on a Wednesday and the place was full, including several pilots who’d parked their planes next to the restaurant. As the motto on the waitress’s shirt said, “Will Fly for Pie” — and the pie was pretty darn good. The waitress herself was extremely personable and provided outstanding service. If you’re in the mood for something a little off-beat, this will hit the spot. Worth a stop!

Awesome place. Flew in and there was plenty of parking. Some spots had tie-downs and others didn’t. Menu has great options and prices! Was fortunate enough to snag 1 of only 3 slices of pie left on a sunny, Sunday afternoon. Definitely coming back for breakfast or lunch!

The food here was speedy and tasty, and service was incredible. I obviously loved the aviation atmosphere. The pie was excellent too, and I will be going back for more ASAP!

Good is great, servers are super nice and friendly, and the interior is full of cool plane memorabilia and art (being located at the Jefferson county airport). Small, low-key, and quaint. Love it!

The Spruce Goose just hosted 20+ of us celebrating birthdays. We are quite a crowd. We were served quickly and allowed to sit and talk, sing Happy Birthday, eat pie (their pie is good ). We were put on the deck (with heaters) so we didn’t bother regular customers. It was appreciated that they welcomed us, tiaras and all. A good time!!! My guys like their hamburgers too when they are in town.

Visited again a year later and it was just like it was the last time. There is something to be said for consistency. Portions were still large and everything was tasty. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing and even though I hate to wait, knowing a business is busy enough for it always says something!

Worth the trip. We met family here for an early breakfast. It was awesome to watch planes land while chowing down on breakfast.

Spruce Goose is great! I’ve had the breakfast and the lunch and they are equally as good. Extremely friendly service. Vanessa was excellent and extremely on top of our service, and the food comes quick! Sometimes there’s a wait, but it’s worth it!

I went in there for the first time today and it is such a cute place! My waitress was so dang nice and the roast beef (today’s special) was amazing! This is a must-try place! You can also eat outside.

We have been by this place in the past but have not tried it before. What a mistake, since it is a good place for comfort food. My wife had a Chili Burger and it was loaded up and quite good. I had a tuna melt on rye and it was also quite good. The service was good and there are more items on the menu to try.
