Overall, delicious and quick to serve. We got there around 5 pm on a Friday and luckily beat the crowd. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, bacon wrapped dates, and fried chicken. We wanted to share between the 2 of us and this place definitely has the tapas / plate sharing vibe to it. They also have specials on chalkboard on the wall, along with drink specials as well. The bartender took really good care of us and recommended a spiked hot chocolate drink. The drink was small but packed and it was peppermint hot chocolate. The reason for 4 stars was the chicken was missing something to make it stand out. It had a BBQ sauce on the side, but it fell short on flavor. I used the jam from the dates, and it gave it a little more punch. I definitely think rethinking the sauce to something more sweet or more tangy, would be beneficial. But portion sizes were great, service was spot on, and the vibe was vibing! They also have cute plates that are star wars themed. Nice detail.

We had heard great things about this place and it did not disappoint. Unique, funkie, fun and inviting. Loved the atmosphere and vibes. Food was an absolute pleasure to eat with a wide range of flavor profiles. Everything really worked well with each other. We ordered a few apps and everything was unbelievable. Our server was informative, friendly and responsive. Gave us all we expected and more. We’ll be back.

I would always rather have small plates that are perfectly prepared than platters overflowing with mediocrity, and we found the former here. The schnitzel was perfectly crunchy and the bangers had a lovely snap and lovely tender meat inside. I had a delightful cocktail, the Marge Gundersen, and my dining partner a nice glass of Pinot Noir. Friendly service. Note to self to bring a cushion next time… seating is very hard.

We arrived a little closer to closing time than we would have liked, but the service and food were both still incredible.

The service was amazing & the vibes were great! I wasn’t super excited about the food. Yes, the brussel sprouts were delicious, but there wasn’t anything super special about the chicken sandwich everyone kept mentioning. It might be because we’re from the South, where fried chicken is our specialty.

This is, admittedly, my second-favorite place to eat in Port Angeles. I wish I could give it higher marks, but alas, the hours are wildly inconsistent. Even for Port Angeles standards. I can never seem to stop in on my own terms, when I’m craving something there. I’d be a regular, but the menu variety and conflicting hours make it difficult to commit. The cocktails are worth drinking here. There is thought and nuance to them, something I appreciate if noone else does. The food is excellent, although dispirate. Not in the good way either, where unlike things create a gestalt amalgamation. Just doing a sporadic few things very well with little throughline. It can be done, and done well. I ultimately believe a little more creative tinkering, consistency, and harmonious administration could make Spruce an unforgettable place to eat.

Nice place that looks like it has some history and really good food. We got a bunch of apps and a main to split which was perfect and everything came out so good. We got the trio app which came with olives, pickles and butter beans, fries with the garlic aioli and chimichurri (both sauces were very good and surprisingly even better together), brussel sprouts which were nice and crispy as advertised and also the Berkeley boat which has a nice contrast of flavors and textures.

Stopped by here during a sleepy Sunday night. Really like the laid back vibe and decor. Staffs were friendly.
We ordered some fried brussel sprouts and sauerkraut balls. They were great. Along with their signature Spruce burgers with side of garlic fries. Very tasty and rich juicy burger.
Only small thing I didn’t like was how salty all the food was. Drank a lot of water. Overall was good.

Terrific roadhouse-type bar and grill in downtown PA. Food was impressive (burger was pronounced “best ever”), service was prompt and friendly, and they offer an interesting cocktail list to boot. Only 2 minor nits: the house white wine (a local chardonnay) is iffy at best, and I wish they’d swap the plastic-looking white plates for something in keeping with the overall vibe. A great meal overall – we’ll be back.

Spruce has a nice atmosphere and our waiter was good but the portion sizes and quality of food, in particular the Berkeley Boats, missed their mark. We found the presentation somewhat lacking and the meals overpriced considering what we were served. Overall, it was a disappointment.
