Oh man, so so good. Pizza is on point and reminds me of a pizza place in Mars Hill / Indianapolis. We will definately be back !! The 2 ladies that were working were very nice and super helpful!

They opened up the boxes and saw that the pizzas were LOADED with toppings galore! The cheese was so thick, they had to break out the pizza cutter!
They piled up their plates and gathered around the dinner table, just like the heartwarming story they read earlier that day. It was all coming back, full circle. How beautiful it was!
Dan bit in, sauce already dripping off his beard. Oh, it was an experience! The crust, the toppings, the cheese!
“It’s the best pizza place within ten miles!”
“The chicken-bacon-ranch is to RAVE for!”
“It’s magically delicious!”
“I’d shit myself for THIS pizza!”
“This pizza changed my life!”
“The price isn’t bad either!”
When Dan saw the pure happiness radiating from his family, he shed a tear. It was so beautiful. Almost too beautiful. He couldn’t stand it.
“FROM NOW ON THE ONLY LOCAL PIZZA PLACE WE WILL EAT AT IS SPRINGTOWN PIZZA MARENGO CAVE!” he declared.
The family finally found a nearby pizza place that they could really enjoy.
How lucky we are that my father, Dan, didn’t end up getting banned for his relentless creepiness. But it did fill him with joy to make a fun, exciting, delicious time out of that average Tuesday afternoon.
We shall all live happily ever after—pizza filling our minds, souls, hearts, and bodies.
THE END!

I have to say that I was surprised by this pizza. I am currently traveling through on vacation and stopped in Marengo to visit some family in the area. Coming down from up north and having experienced pizza in Chicago, I am no stranger to top quality, great pizza.
Don’t get me wrong, this is not Chicago-style pizza and not some life changing experience; however, this is a really good pizza and worth the visit. I would never have guessed that a pizza place in a small town would have a pizza this good. It has a good crust, lots of toppings, and great flavor. It also is a very reasonable price. I am glad that I listened to my family and gave it a try. Everyone online raves about the chicken bacon ranch pizza. It was great, but the other pizzas are good too.
If you are in the area or visiting the cave, plan to have a pizza here while you are passing through. You will not be disappointed.

~It was a dark and stormy night—just kidding.
It was an average Tuesday afternoon, and this is the story of how my father nearly got himself banned from Springtown Pizza at Marengo Cave.~
Dan pulled into his driveway and stomped up the stairs, ready to have his nipples greeted by his beautiful fiancée. It was a long day at work, and he had been daydreaming about pizza through most of it.
“I wish I could take us to a fancy pizza restaurant,” he said. “But, alas, we live in the middle of nowhere.”
“All the pizza places suck!” His family agreed. “We should try something new!”
“I’ve heard amazing things about Springtown Pizza at Marengo Cave!” exclaimed his fiancée.
Dan pondered for a moment, then decided to take a gander at their reviews. He read them aloud to his family, searching for something truly inspiring.
Then, he came across the review that changed his life forever—in the best of ways.
It was a heartwarming story about a father just like him, desperate to find pizza that his whole family would enjoy. It had deep metaphors, quirky characters, and a relatability that Dan couldn’t ignore. He stared at the photo of the bat for a long time, a strong desire forming in his belly.
He wanted—no—he needed that pizza. He needed to taste it. He needed to feel the toppings sprinkle into his long beard.
“This is the one!” he shouted, glee filling his heart. He just knew Springtown Pizza at Marengo Cave would be to die for.
And little did he know, he almost would.
He gave them a ring, the joy in his voice seeping through the phone. The employee who answered was friendly—so polite! He just had to compliment their reviews!
And though my father answered the lady on the phone like a total creepazoid, she did not let it alter her. She asked for his order, brave as could be.
“One chicken-bacon-ranch,” Dan said. And after a long pause, thoughtfully considering his fiancée, “One Hawaiian.”
“It will be ready in around thirty minutes,” the employee at Springtown Pizza at Marengo Cave answered.
Dan hopped out of his seat, already imagining the incredible flavor of hot pizza in his mouth.
“Oh boy!” He jumped with glee. “I have to go freshen up before my order is ready!”
Even in the shower, Dan’s thoughts remained on the pie… and the pie alone. It is told that his laughs of mania could be heard by every mouse in the house.
He popped out naked and shouted, “I must put on my dress pants, my flip-flops, my wife-beater, and my fedora!”
And so, he did.
When it was time to go pick up his pizza, his lovely daughters tagged along! Even the dog was drooling with anticipation, but he had to stay behind. It was a school night for him, after all.
As the family drove to Springtown Pizza at Marengo Cave, their laughter filled the car—until Dan nearly crashed, distracted by hallucinations of pizza trolls hopping into his open mouth!
When they arrived, Dan strode his way up to the door, his flip-flops flopping with confidence. He saw the bat! He smelled the pizza! He could barely contain his thrill.
The employees were just as nice in person. They looked his outfit up and down and didn’t say a word.
“Did you have a phone order?” the lady asked.
“Why, yes!” Dan said, his voice oozing with euphoria.
They brought the pizzas out, and he sniffed in the tasty air. “Smells delicious. I heard the chicken-bacon-ranch was to die for,” he said with flair.
“It’s pretty good,” the cashier answered nervously.
“I can’t wait to get this pizza in my mouth… so I can write my own review.” He rubbed his hands together, and his tone was low and ominous.
He paid and lifted his pizza boxes with great effort. Luckily, his daughter was there to help! She took the pizzas in the backseat and buckled them up for safety.
The family drove home, mouths watering as they enjoyed the nice pizza breeze. They couldn’t wait to get home and indulge.
When they got home, Dan slipped into something a little more comfortable so he could really enjoy his peace—and his piece of pizza.

The pizza here is terrific and you do not have to be camping or visiting the cave to stop by and pick up some dinner. You can stop on the way home from work and grab pizza for the family with no hassle. Also, I found out that they sell pizza by the slice at lunch time for a reasonable price.

Anyway, let me tell you my story…

I went here with my son to pick up pizza for the family. It is easy to get here and get in. It’s right in the corner of the lot at the cave. We went in to find a nice little restaurant with a simple feel. It was not super-fancy, but still nice and very clean inside. I looked down at the cover of the menu to see a wide-eyed bat wearing a chef’s hat staring intently at his pizza. It was at that exact moment that the smell of freshly baking pizzas wafting through the air and I felt something deep in my soul. Having recently become accustomed to the greasy scent of some other pizza places, this freshness I was experiencing, made me realize that this bat was sending me a message. He knew, better than I did, that I too would soon be staring intently at my own pizza boxes with my own deep sense of desire.
We ended up ordering two 16″ pizzas to take home for our family of six. One of the pizzas was the chicken bacon ranch and the other was called “the works”. Picking up the boxes to head out to the car I was immediately glad to have my teenage son there to carry them. They were heavy! I had not even looked into the boxes yet and I knew this was going to be a lot of food. I was even happier to know that they had not cost a lot of money.
When we got home, we all gathered around the dinner table to enjoy the feast. These were great. There were lots of toppings and the ingredients were quality and delicious. The crust was just crisp enough, and yet, at the same time, just soft enough to be perfect. I had two slices and I was full. My teenage children were able to eat enough to satisfy their hunger. Everyone had their fill, and there was even a bit leftover for the next day. Truely this was an amazing event.

Anyway, this will surely be a regular stop for us from now on and, as long as they keep doing this right, they will be our only local destination for pizza.

Two times I’ve gotten pizza and they’ve gotten my order wrong and when I call to ask to get it corrected they argue with me about it. Plus the fact that their door doesn’t open all the way almost made me drop my pizzas and bruised my arm. The pizza is great when they actually get the order right.
