There is so much to share about this restaurant. I almost drove past this gem. Everything about it screams nostalgia! Don’t let the large dirt parking lot with potholes deter you. The outside is rustic and rural looking, but just wait till you get inside. The service is great. I was greeted with a big friendly smile and seated right away. They told me about the buffet and when I found out it was all you can eat for $17.99, it was a no brainer. The also have a full menu with plenty of options like hamburgers, onion rings, Mac n cheese and corn for those in your group who aren’t fish fry lovers. The buffet is popular because while I was eating two guys showed up for lunch and asked if they had their buffet today. When they found out it was available they both responded with a loud mmm, mmm! I also asked a married couple about the food as they were leaving and they said they have been eating here for over 30 years! The nostalgia and historicity of this restaurant is a wonder to behold. Since it was a buffet, I had two servings that took me about an hour to eat. It is 100% possible to eat healthy here. I had green beans and lightly pan fried catfish with a salad, fresh tomatoes, yellow peppers and cucumbers with at least 6 choices of dressing. The catfish reminded me of my grandmother, Eula’s Texas style catfish. Deliciously seasoned and lightly crisp. If you want the heavy batter, fried catfish, they have that too. I also sampled the hush puppies, fried green tomatoes and fried mushrooms! Superb! It should be noted that there was not a drop of grease anywhere. Even when eating the fried food it all tasted fresh. The banana pudding and chocolate pudding were both on the sweet side just the way most people prefer it. I only ate one teaspoon, but trust me, I wanted a bowl of each. The men’s bathroom was squeaky clean and smelled fresh during the lunch hour. They offered to refill my ice tea for the road and I gladly accepted. I strongly recommend Springhill to all the fish fry lovers in the greater Austin area. Great place to experience.

The fried fish was so crispy and perfectly fried and battered! The chicken tenders were huge and perfectly fried with flavor. The fried oysters were the best in town. I paid for half a dozen and got way more than that. Onion rings were on point! Shrimps were big and very tasty!Definitely enjoyed my meal and first visit.

Decide to stop in and do a takeout order after work. Put my order in and waited 20 minutes for it to finish. Took three people to take the order and to bring it to me. When I got home, I realized they overcharged me by three dollars on my meal. I called them and asked them what this was about and they said it’s a takeout fee. So basically you drive there use your own gas your own vehicle and you put the order in and then you wait to take it home with you and there’s no table service and they still hit you with a three dollar fee. I will never ever eat at this place again. I’ve lived in Pflugerville for over 30 years and have never done a takeout with them, always a sit in. But never again! They don’t tell you about this fee. They just hit you with it. Crooks!

My daughter’s and I stopped here after a funeral service. We were greeted with a warm welcome. Our waiter was very attentive. We found the portions to be more than we expected for the price. My catfish was tender and the shrimp were very plump. Both were seasoned well. We all had to go boxes. Another plus was that our food came out together and was piping hot.
We will definitely be going back.

I went there with a friend for a special lunch to hear a company do a sales pitch.we rode our bikes 3 miles to get there ,to only have the gentleman tell us we were to late n slammed door in our face..well after talking to the manager about it, we went outside to get ready to leave when the assistant manager ,Shawna came to us and asked us what happened ,after talking to her and showing her texts and proof that we were on time and what the gentleman did, she told us to come back inside where was warm, got us ice tea, and then gave both of a free Dinner for what happened .she and a server would constantly check up on us. And Shawna would keep us informed of her calling that company and filing a complaint for us and telling them that they were never to come back there again if that’s how they treat her and her restaurants clients…I wanna personally thank her and the restaurant staff for making is feel at home and going way beyond what was necessary..she was even more mad then I was! Lol…she was very gracious and very understanding and showed what true leadership, compassion, and integrity really is..the food was great , the ice tea was fantastic and service, and the place was super clean and the management was top notch..I highly recommend this restaurant and I’m proud to say Shawna should be manager of the year…thank you Shawna for everything you did…Anthony otero

Service was great! Food wasn’t. First, we were sat right in between the salad bar and the Buffett. Get rid of seating there, it sucks. Constant swarm of people around my table. My catfish was good but nobody else at my table enjoyed their food. Menu wasn’t accurate as to what came on the entrees either which had my daughter picking stuff out of her taco salad. I gave 2 stars because of the good service, otherwise would have earned 1

The food and service is amazing. This seafood restaurant has been around for a while. We ordered the family pack which came 20 fried catfish pieces (extremely tasty, fresh, filling, and not even oily), fries, coleslaw, beans, hush puppies, tarter sauce, and lemon wedges for $50. Definitely coming back. Theres plenty of parking, just slow down when entering and exiting.

We arrive at 12:30. Absolutely no fried catfish, the yearly have some baked fish but there was only one sad-looking piece. Weren’t any green beans when we got there weren’t any we left. When we complained we got ghosted by the wait staff. After about 10 or 15 minutes they brought out a bunch that disappeared quickly because so many people were waiting. The whole buffet was neglected. And it’s the white staff’s fault for not communicating with the kitchen about what is needed on the buffet. This place has been here a long time and they’re real complacent it seems.

A comfortable homely restaurant serving catfish, shrimp, steaks and other comfort foods with table service. Or, if you are in a hurry come by at lunch time and try the buffet.
The food is excellent and they have beer and wine at excellent prices. The service is friendly and competent.
My wife ate a rib eye steak with mashed potatoes Texas toast and a side salad. I ate four pieces of fried catfish, and some of the fries, beans and Cole slaw served with it. Including a pint of Dos Equis and a glass of wine our bill before tip wax a very reasonable $52.
My one tiny complaint is that the food is served on disposable plates and you eat with plastic knives and forks, though my wife did get a steak knife to cut hr rib eye. That’s not good for the environment.
But, we’ll be back, we felt welcome and the food and drinks were great.
