Amazing experience at Spring Sushi in Hamilton! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, the rolls were perfectly made, and the cooked dishes (especially the beef and mushrooms) were delicious and well-seasoned. Portions were generous and everything tasted freshly prepared. The variety on the menu is fantastic — perfect for sushi lovers and anyone who enjoys Asian fusion. Service was friendly and quick, and the overall dining experience was excellent. Definitely one of the best sushi spots in Hamilton!

First time dining at Spring Sushi on Upper James and it was a great experience. Marco served us and he was friendly, helpful with explaining how to order on the iPad, and quick to refill our drinks. Overall, all the staff were wonderful. I’ll definitely be back and will happily recommend this restaurant!

I ate at Spring Sushi this past weekend for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience! The hostess was super warm and welcoming to my family and I, and helped settle us down quickly. There was quite a wide variety of selection from the lunch menu and our food came fairly quickly. The servers and food runners ensured that we knew exactly what was coming to our table and they were quick to answer our questions and requests.

The fish that caught me by surprise (and also my favorite dish) was the tenderloin steak, garlic, and mushroom stir fry. The meat was super tender and the garlic and sauce were super fragrant and tasty. This dish set apart Spring Sushi and other all you can eat sushi places and I’ll surely be back for another round of food. Some other notable dishes that left a great impression were the beef short ribs, red dragon roll, and spicy salmon roll. Last but not least, they had a variety of ice cream flavors available for dessert. A great way to end a satisfying meal!

Overall, I had a great first experience and will totally be making another trip to Spring Sushi the next time I’m in town. I would highly recommend Spring Sushi to anyone who hasn’t tried it yet. Looking forward to the next time I’ll be back. Perhaps, I will try their dinner menu next time!

I had a great lunch experience at Spring sushi restaurant. The atmosphere was clean, calm, and perfect for a quick but enjoyable midday meal.

I started with a seaweed salad, which was fresh and well-seasoned, just the right balance of tangy and savory. It made a great light appetizer. The tempura was another highlight: crisp, golden, and not overly greasy. The vegetables were cooked just right, with a satisfying crunch inside the delicate batter.

I tried a sushi combo that included a variety of rolls and nigiri. Everything tasted fresh, especially the salmon and tuna. The rice was well-prepared and slightly warm and properly seasoned.

Service was efficient and polite, and the food came out quickly, making it an ideal stop during a lunch break.

Fresh sushi, crisp tempura, and a refreshing seaweed salad made this a solid lunch choice. I’ll definitely be returning when I’m in the area again.

Fresh, tasty sushi across the board, and surprisingly excellent desserts with a solid selection (did not expect that). We may have eaten too much; enough for a friendly gut tap to turn into laughter-induced near collapse and another friend literally spitting out his after-meal mint. Worth it. Would absolutely overdo it here again.

The staff here were quite friendly and attentive. The ordering system uses an iPad like most modern AYCE restaurants. The menu had a decent selection but I would say it doesn’t offer a lot compared to other places I’ve been to. This should be a sushi restaurant so I tried most of their sushi and seafood items. I had their dinner buffet which had access to their entire menu.

The sashimi was fresh but lacking in variety. They offered standard salmon, white tuna, snapper, surf clam, albacore. Most other sushi items were locked behind nigiri options. The gdragon roll was tasty and the mango in it added a refreshing twist to an otherwise standard sushi roll. Overall, their seafood was average.

What stood out to me was the sirloin steak cooked to medium rare. It was cooked perfectly everytime I ordered it and the sauce on it paired very well with the dish. It was easily the best item on their menu.

Although consistency with multiple orders was not the best, I would say their grilled and deep fried items tasted much better than the rest of their menu. I would not recommend the udon.

Unfortunately, they were sold out of the Thai items I wanted to try and would like to say they “offer” these options as well but cannot give you a review on them.

Their dessert menu had ice cream, tiramisu, pudding, and deep fried banana among other options. I wanted to try their yuzu ice cream but they were sold out. I was offered lychee instead and was pleasantly surprised. It was very tasty and had lychee chunks in it! Would recommend.

I want to point out that one of the food runners, Richard was very good at clearly annunciating what dishes were brought out since chatter in the restaurant was loud. I liked this because I found that in some AYCE restaurants, I would order many things to try and sometimes I didn’t know the name of the items I wanted to reorder! Thanks Richard.

Their menu had a mixture of both good and bad items. I bumped up the rating to 4 stars because the staff are friendly.

This was my first time eating at Spring Sushi and it was an enjoyable dining experience. I don’t normally eat at all-you-can-eat restaurants because I’m not a big eater, but I did enjoy the variety of dishes offered on their menu.

When we first arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by the hostess, taken to our table promptly, and introduced to the special items offered on their menu. Shortly after sitting down at our table, our server, Geraldine came to greet us promptly and asked for our drink’s orders. Once you place your order on the iPad, the dishes arrive quickly. The food runners did a good job of telling us what dishes they were placing on our table, which was super helpful because sometimes we couldn’t remember what we ordered (we ordered a lot of different dishes!).

My favourite dish was the teppanyaki sirloin steak with garlic. The sirloin was super tender, and the dish had a good grilled flavour to it. The sushi was a bit disappointing as the sushi rice was too overcooked and made the texture of the sushi too soft and mushy. We ended our meal on a good note with the raspberry sorbet and yuzu ice cream which was fruity and refreshing!

If you enjoy having a large variety of dishes and have a big appetite, Spring Sushi would be a good option to dine at!

I recently went to Spring Sushi and I was pleasantly surprised! I haven’t been in over 10 years, and the food has definitely improved since then. My favourite items were the steak tenderloin and short ribs! Out of all the AYCE sushi places in Hamilton, I think this place has the best steak bites and short ribs so far! It was so moist and tender, and well-seasoned for me (not too salty and not too sweet). I highly recommend these items if you’re here. The sushi presentation was also very nice & pretty, although there were one or two food items that could have been presented a little better. Food portions were reasonable too.

I also had a hostess named Hana who made my dining experience more enjoyable. She stood out to me compared to the other servers/food runners because she spoke with a friendly & approachable tone every time, always had a smile on her face when she brought the sushi items out, and tells us to “enjoy” or “hope you like it” each time. She would tell us clearly what the items were, and as we were leaving, she made sure to say greet us out the door. As a customer, her actions made me feel seen and valued (although small, they had a great impact to my dining experience).

Service was good overall. My needs were met but it got a bit slower towards the end (probably because it started to get busy and the tables were filling up quick during the lunch rush, which is understandable).

Overall, I would recommend Spring Sushi to anyone! I had a good time dining here. I want to come here again during dinner next time so that I can try their other items!

We recently went to Spring Sushi during lunch hours and loved that we had the option to order off of the AYCE dinner menu since we wanted sashimi. It was a good experience overall.

Our hostess Betty was very welcoming and explained the daily deals and the special menu items when we were seated. Our server was Marco and he was attentive and refilled our drinks when they got low. Most of the food runners would tell us what the items were so we knew exactly what we were eating.

We tried a variety of different dishes including maki rolls, nigiri, sashimi and hot food items. The food was good, but nothing outstanding. Everything came out quickly and was fresh, but the quality of fish could be better. I liked that the sushi was thinly cut, but feel like the ratio of rice to fish was a little off (I prefer less rice). I also found their torched series to be a little too intense for my liking – I could almost taste the butane which I suppose is the point, but not really my cup of tea. The sashimi was just the right thickness. I just wish they had red tuna sashimi, but not many AYCE places offer that.

Although the sushi items were a bit underwhelming, the best menu items are the kitchen items. We really enjoyed the tempura and the coconut shrimp – it was crispy and well battered. We tried the new bulgolgi beef lettuce wraps too. The flavour was excellent but the lettuce was still super wet which muted the flavours a bit.

We of course ended our meal with some dessert. They have a variety of different items that set them apart from other AYCE sushi spots in Hamilton. They offer a coconut affogato which was delicious and lots of other unique options like the green tea panna cotta. Although we didn’t try that, I’m sure it is delicious. Their ice cream and sorbet flavours aren’t listed on the iPad menu (I assume because they have rotating flavours) so you’ll have to ask your server which flavours they have available. Overall, it was a good experience and we would come back!

We recently revisited Spring Sushi and had a generally enjoyable experience. The service stood out—friendly, attentive and thorough. The staff made sure to explain each dish as it came to the table, which we really appreciated (helped us remember what we wanted to reorder).

While we were initially drawn in by the sushi and sashimi, those ended up being a bit underwhelming. The sashimi selection was quite limited, and the texture of the sushi rice was too soft.

However, the grilled items pleasantly surprised us. The sirloin steak was the highlight—it was juicy, tender and cooked perfectly each time. We wanted to try the shrimp and chicken skewers, but they were sold out that day.

We’re looking forward to coming back to try these next time!
