This place is just awesome. Really. We discovered it a few years ago. It’s a local, family-owned spot – super welcoming!
Although I don’t visit them often I usually I
grab their Seven Grain Crunch Bread because it’s seriously delicious – I love it toasted with almond butter and honey! But let me tell you, what’s really out of this world are their scones! All of them! No joke, these are the best scones in the area, hands down. You just have to try them.
They’ve got a bunch of other great stuff too, like cinnamon rolls ( classic) and pastries, even sandwiches if you’re looking for lunch. You can tell they use good ingredients and everything made with love!

Love this place, their bread is all made by hand fresh in shop, lovely desserts/treats, including scones, cinnamon rolls, lemon bars etc. It tastes authentically fresh and local.

BOOM! Finally found a place that makes orange-cranberry bread!

I have been looking forever, because I really love orange-cranberry bread. I happen to be passing by Spring Mill Bread Company and just stopped on in. Not only did they have it, but it was fresh and hot out of the oven! Took it home, and have had toasted orange-cranberry bread for days. It did not disappoint and it is absolutely delicious. For this particular loaf, it is only made on specific days, and I will be back this week. Can’t wait!

When I went in to the store, I met Katherine the owner. So pleasant and incredible customer service. Fascinating to hear her story over the years and how she has built this business. Absolutely love supporting this business and you should to.

While I was only there for the bread, there are many other offerings like sandwiches and pastries. So if you happen to be near by, stop on by. You won’t regret it.

Since moving to the neighborhood this has become our breakfast staple. The staff is warm, inviting, and helpful. The offerings are amazing – some dependable staples and lots of seasonal treats. The scones are amazing, and double as great shortcake for desert. The parmesan leek croissant is my go-to, and the pies and cheesecakes are amazing. If you’re there early to get the cinnamon rolls fresh from the oven you’re going to be coming back for life. And if after all that you still want a loaf of bread for the week, you aren’t going to find a better one elsewhere.

A delightfully cozy atmosphere, reminiscent of mom baking at home. The aroma of fresh bread wafts through the air, and every pastry looks impeccably crafted.

I had a craving for fresh sourdough bread. Last time I had some my son bought it at a market in Frederick and it was fantastic. Today I had some errands to run near Rockville so I stopped by and picked up a couple of loafs. As soon as I got home I just had to have 2 slices with fresh butter. It was delicious, but the consequences were terrible. 2 hours later I had severe stomach pain. I don’t suffer from celiac disease and I have never had wheat intolerances. I do normally eat a very low carb diet but even so I can occasionally have a bagel, or a slice of normal whole wheat bread and even once in a blue moon a couple of slices of pizza. This bread made me feel horrible, I don’t know if it was not fully baked, if now for some out of nowhere reason I can’t eat sourdough, but in any case will not be trying that ever again.

TLDR: Fantastic bakery with staples and fun pastries.

I have bought several different items from here and have been back multiple, multiple times. Every item I have bought has been fresh and delicious. The workers are extremely friendly and polite.

I highly recommend the savory turnovers. Both the mushroom and cheese turnover and the spinach and feta turnover are amazing.

There is also a loyalty card for buying loaves of bread.

This place has great stuff! Fresh bread, muffins, scones, cookies, cheesecakes & more.
Stopped in for some scones, and actually went back the next day because they were so good.
Also got a cinnamon loaf and it was fresh and delicious! Definitely worth going.
Also had gluten free options if needed.

We were in the mood for some baked good so we stopped in after hitting up Gemelli’s. Our favorites were the chocolate scones and croissants but everything looks amazing. They even had a few gluten free options.
The savory pastries were filled with tons of spinach and mushrooms, they def don’t skimp on ingredients.

This is the BEST Spring Mill Bread of the chain. I have never liked any other locations, and definitely not to this extent!

The croissants, turnovers, fruit pie slices, cherry cheesecake, rosemary shortbread, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are delicious! Funny enough though, I haven’t been too crazy about their actual breads. Each time, they’ve been very dry. I like to stick to their sweets and savory pastries.

The service varies though. It really depends on who is working.

Prices are standard to most good bread bakeries.

They are closed on Sundays.
