We go to Spring House often and enjoy the dinner specials. The service is very friendly and timely. The portion sizes are generous, we always come home with leftovers. The dining atmosphere is quiet so sitting in sometimes feels a little awkward, but it’s a minor thing. You also grab your own water/silverware on a bar to the side, which is a bit different. We love this place and recommend it all the time! Support local 🙂

We were stoked to try this Cantonese restaurant in the U of O area. Maybe it’s legit, but everything was way too salty. The beef brisket noodle soup was definitely not correct. The flavor of the meat was off and it wasn’t tender. The noodle texture was not bouncy. The service was awesome, though. The guy who took my order was super friendly. I think I will need to keep looking for a good Cantonese place around here.

THE BEST CANTONESE RESTAURANT I’VE HAD IN THE WHOLE US & EUROPE.
I’m from HK and our HKnese friend who used to dine here for years brought us here. All dishes were cooked authentically and we were impressed with how tasty they were, literally.
Huge portion with top quality. Their house special HKnese lemon tea was very refreshing.

I ordered online so have no comment on service or atmosphere… food was hot and delivered early. The spring rolls… I lived 30 years in Chicago where we have everything… this was the best spring roll I ever had and everything we ordered was delicious. Definitely my go to now.

Excellent Vegetable Fried Rice! My first time here! I will be back, that’s 100% certain. Lots of egg, deeply flavorful, great job not overcooking the veggies & the rice was NOT all dried out, like I have found at SO many other places. I hate dried out rice. This Vegetable Fried Rice was moist, fresh & packed full of taste bud bursting deliciousness! My dining partner had Sweet & Sour chicken with Steamed rice. He has eaten here before & he is who gave me the recommendation to eat lunch here. Great Lunch special price too!

The food was amazing freshly cooked and hot when it came to our table. It has that mom and pop shop feel to it.

Oh my gosh, this place ACTUALLY has crunchy, pan fried noodles with vegetables and meat that tastes pretty dang good; it’s the closest I’ve found to something like Ocean Sky or Chu’s (places that are now long gone) would serve.
I’m happy I found these noodles again! There’s a few tables inside for seating and the service was pleasant.
I also tried their egg flower soup which was alright; too much on the sour side for my taste. They have hot Jasmine tea here which was decent.
But anyway… they have pan fried noodles and that’s all that matters! Woo. I’ll definitely return just for them, and the rest of their menu looks enticing as well.

You really don’t expect a huge difference menu than other “Chinese” restaurants, and the environment and service won’t be great… but, I still remember their fried rice, exactly taste like what I had at home street food. So here I am
And yes. Fired Mei Fun is exactly what I expected too.
It’s a nice cheap restaurant around campus. Really big size of dish, be careful:p

“Gonna get a big dish of Beef Chow Mein.”. The time was getting close to four. The cook/owner let me order Beef Chow Mein Lunch Special. He didn’t give me the fried Rice with it. I do not care! This place has a good selection of Mainland Cantonese food, as well as its American Cousins. I am here to eat Beef Chow Mein from every Eugene and Springfield Chinese Restaurant. Silly, I know. Thank you, Warren Zevon. My next time in I will order the Cantonese Steamed Chicken. Abrupt, on the edge of caustic service. I love it. The folks are nice. This Chow Mein is unique to this establishment. Skinny, skinny noodles. Well cooked vegetables. Tender is as tender does beef. I enjoyed this dish very much.

Who would have thought an authentic HKness restaurant would hide at this little corner and in this area!
Some fresh seafood dishes are off menu, pricey but absolutely worth it.
I promise this place is even better than many restaurants around my HK home.
