First time here and it definitely did not disappoint!! We had an amazing waiter named Jarrit who I highly recommend!!! He was so attentive and helped with ordering when we had questions. The food was spectacular, same with drinks. Menu is relatively small but great choices. DJ goes on at 8 pm on Fridays so we had some fun music. Definitely will be coming back!! Spring House Tenafly is a must-try, especially if you have little ones! The food was outstanding—seriously, the cacio e pepe was absolutely amazing, and the shishito peppers were a perfect savory starter. Plus, they have a really solid kids menu, which makes family dinner totally stress-free. Highly recommend!

The inside atmosphere was great and warming. We came here for a holiday dinner with family and the food came out at a good pace, and Evander was very friendly. I would recommend the steak frites and breadbasket!

If you’re looking for a spot that blends historic charm with elevated dining and a bit of fun, Spring House in Tenafly delivers in spades.
From the moment you arrive at, you realise this isn’t your usual suburban chain. The restaurant occupies the 1790s-era Demarest–Lyle House, one of the oldest homes in the area, and the old-world architecture sets the stage for something special.

This restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the beautiful decor and cozy ambiance. The food was nothing short of amazing every dish was perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor.
We started with the grilled octopus and the Lighthouse calamari, both of which were cooked to perfection. For our main courses, I had the Cognac shrimp tale, and my husband had the branzino with a Caesar salad. Every bite was so delicious that we had nothing left to take home!
The entire experience was fantastic, from the warm and welcoming atmosphere to the impeccable service, chef Paco was incredibly kind and attentive to us. Also, our waiter (Israel) took great care of us.
I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place for a date night or any special occasion. A must-visit for Italian food lovers!

Such a charming Mediterranean spot in Tenafly! I love how they transformed a historical house into a cozy, inviting restaurant — it really adds character and warmth to the experience. Valet parking is the only option, which was convenient but good to know in advance. My friend and I arrived early, and the staff kindly invited us to wait at the bar with drinks, which was a nice gesture. The drinks were fine, and the food was pretty good overall. The atmosphere was definitely the highlight — warm, relaxed, and perfect for our birthday dinner. We brought our own cake to celebrate, and there was a $5 per person cake-cutting fee. The total bill came out to over $600 for six people, so it’s definitely on the pricier side. Still, we all had a great time and would come back for the unique setting and good vibes.

Spring House in Tenafly has improved so much since it first opened! The food is now consistently delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Service has gotten a lot better too—staff are friendly, attentive, and make the experience feel welcoming.
The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a night out with friends or family. It is a little on the pricey side, but the quality of the food and overall dining experience make it worth it.
Definitely one of the better spots in Tenafly now. Highly recommend!

My family and I had a great experience at the Spring House. Olivia, our busser, was wonderful—quick, friendly, and on top of everything. Benjamin, our waiter, was extremely attentive and patient. He took the time to explain the menu, answer our questions, and made us feel truly welcomed. ( he even used and shared a mini flashlight for us the view the menu , my son loved that) Both of them were very hospitable and helped make the visit enjoyable. Overall, a really nice dining experience! The homemade pasta and homemade bread were absolutely outstanding. You can taste the care and craftsmanship in every bite—the pasta was perfectly cooked with rich, fresh flavor, and the bread came out warm, soft, and full of that comforting, from-scratch goodness. It’s the kind of food that feels both simple and special at the same time. Truly a delicious experience! Our dinners included salmon Caesar salad (shareable size) short rib and pappardelle pasta and our son had Cavatelli/w butter and all the home made bread he could eat. Thank you thank you can’t wait to visit you again.

Alicia was an amazing server! She gave amazing recommendations, made us feel so comfortable, and made our daughters birthday so special. Everything from the apps, entrees, and dessert was delicious and the cocktails didn’t disappoint either. Alicia did an amazing job making us feel like home, there was not one part of this experience that disappointed. Can’t wait to come back again!

Was excited to try Spring House and went in early on a Saturday. The website hours, google hours, etc are all over the place and even the outside sign says something else. Not sure if opening is 4:00 or 4:30 but wanted to get there for A quick Happy Hour before our dinner reservation. Happy hour was excellent. Even the small bites were good. Temperature was off but gorgeous bar and seating as well as excellent drinks.
Super snappy girl with blonde hair at the hostess stand should check her attitude but after Happy Hour we got seated upstairs which was lovely.
Food was good. We started with the octopus and the Greek Salad. Octopus was sitting on a nice bed of hummus. Both excellent. Greek salad just okay. The peppers should be de-pitted and sliced but salad very fresh. Probably won’t order again. For dinner we had the lasagna and the Capellacci. The lasagna was good but the temp wasn’t even warm. I think the walk from the kitchen to upstairs might have been a factor? However the other dish was perfect. Both entrees were very good and plentiful. One thing I didn’t understand is why can’t the server bring bread until an order is placed? Sometimes I like to have a piece of bread while I review dinner options. Something the restaurant should look into. Enjoyed the beauty of the restaurant and will return for the outdoor patio when the weather gets nicer. After 9 months still some things to work out but enjoyed the visit overall.
