I order the chicken and broccoli from Spring Garden pretty often, and it’s always really good. I just want something easy and tasty, and this hit the spot. The chicken’s tender, the broccoli’s fresh and crunchy, and the sauce is just right for me.
I’ve tried other stuff too, fried rice, dumplings and they’re all good. The portions are good and the prices are fair. Definitely my go-to spot for Chinese takeout.

Spring Garden is nice little gem of a Chinese takeout located in the heart of the Athenia section of Clifton. Although small in size, this place makes up for it with a huge menu, with many variations of old favorites, including some not found in a lot of places. The counter staff is very friendly, attentive and accommodating. The food (my favorite, the Veggie D’Lite) is always tasty and done well. The prices also are quite reasonable.

The fried chicken and rice combo is absolutely delicious! The chicken is perfectly crispy and juicy, and the seasoned rice adds a great flavor. It’s a satisfying and hearty meal that I highly recommend for anyone craving comforting comfort food. Will definitely come back!

We found a parasite on my wife’s chicken. I always order from this place because it’s around the corner, but never again after this experience. My wife is pregnant and ate a piece of the chicken but the owner or manager was more concerned with me not making this public.

Right aftet posting thiw the owner called me directly and as i assumed, they had begun using an answering service that has been providing terrible service. She went out of her way to even try to provide a free lunch which I refused (because I appreciated the effort in valuing my loyalty and i would never take money out of her hand for poor service from a third party).
I will continue to go back to Spring Garden as I value a business that places value on their customers.
Revising my 2 stare to 5. Food is just to damn good to pass up!

I’ve been ordering from spring garden for over 5 years. I love the owner and the food is amazing but ever since they have been using the new people answering the phone, I cannot get a simple order of steam chicken with broccoli, pork fried rice and wonton soup. Today I was told this common order that I have order for years is not offered ok the menu.
I have had it with this place and the pain I have had placing a simple order.
They have not lost a long time customer as I will jo longer call and deal with the incompetence.

I was there today and ordered chicken chow mien with no celery and said I like it cooked thoroughly, soft onions and bok choy. I also ordered wonton soup. The order was to go. I got home and my order was prepared just as I requested. It was very delicious. Spring Garden Express is my new Chinese Restaurant! The restaurant was very clean! The owners are a great married couple!

I ordered lunch special – Sesame Chicken and spring rolls. 5 minutes of finishing the lunch to whatever i can eat, just threw up everything I just ate. The food had some funky odor. Don’t think the food was “good” or fresh.
I thought It is just me. No the food is definitely spoiled. Come to think of it, it was most likely the chicken meat that went bad and rancid. Bad meat.
Maybe it was just my food only this time. and maybe this is an isolated incidence. Maybe this does not happen to other people, BUT ! I will never visit here again personally.
