This neat little spot in Greensboro is perfect for a coffee and a treat. They have delicious fresh baked goods and quiches. Plus, there’s ample parking out back.

I stopped in at Spring Garden bakery to get my all time favorite muffin – the vegan pumpkin chocolate chip muffin. I get the vegan one because it’s so moist and to me it’s better than the regular one!

I also picked up a morning glory muffin and a few cookies. The morning glory muffin is excellent and I loved the shredded carrots in there. It tastes homemade and you can tell they use quality ingredients.

The chocolate chip cookie was just average, nothing special but it wasn’t bad. The peanut butter cookie was great.

The location is easy to access from the back parking lot, you just walk in at the rear of the building. The staff is friendly and pleasant. I discovered they have buy one get one free muffins on Friday so I will definitely be paying a visit again soon!

Oh and FYI around the holiday season, they have THE BEST fruit cake! It doesn’t have all that artificial coloring stuff in it, it’s very pure and natural, we love it!

Spring‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Garden Bakery is really a charming local gem, and it has that authentic local vibe that makes you want to keep coming back. Because the place is smaller its more warm, inviting and you can always expect to find friendly people there. The baristas and bakery staff are, without a doubt, the best and they are very welcoming, friendly, and always at your service.

Their nutritional buns are great, and the quality is always the same. And it goes without saying that their Free Muffin Fridays are amazing and a thing that I look forward to every week.

I really, really wanted to like this place, but after a few tries, I dont plan on returning. Many pastries are individually Saran wrapped, which typically would be fine, but Im fairly certain they do it to keep pastries for many days, as Ive purchased several different pastries that were dry and stale, and I think they were old, sold at full price. Fresh pastries dont need to be wrapped.

The establishment does not seem all that clean, or hygienic.
And im aware all bakeries use canned goods to some degree, but Ive noticed this bakery seems to use almost exclusively bulk canned ingredients, and the cheapest possible, affecting quality.

The only good thing this place has going, is that the employees working there are very friendly, welcoming and attentive.

Excellent!! I stopped by just for a vegan pumpkin chocolate chip muffin and it didn’t disappoint. So hard to find bakeries that cater to vegans. My husband got a vegan blueberry muffin and a snickerdoodle iced latte and oh my goodness that latte was one of the best coffees I’ve ever tasted. So strong and rich and tasty. I only had a sip but it was amazing.

So first off: I HATE HATE HATE when places dont actively show their prices. I DESPISE priceless menus and that alone is worth two whole stars off.

I got one of their fancy coffees, the coco mocha one, which was 5.50ish. It was good, but you can barely taste the coffee it was 90% chocolate milk with a veery mild hint of expresso. Which isnt bad, hot chocolate is still good, but I do wish I had picked something else.

As for the place itself, it’s alright. It’s definitely cheap in atmosphere but that isnt a bad thing. It’s more… I guess “real”? than a place like starbucks.

I wouldnt say it’s the greatest of all time, but its definitely better than what I could get on campus.

I was calling bakeries to find out if they had chocolate croissants, and had a horrible experience with another bakery just with the call. The woman who answered the phone at this bakery was extremely helpful and nice. I ended up pre-odering croissants. I hope they are good, but the main thing is that their customer service over the phone was outstanding.

Another quiet coffee shop and bakery. The cappuccino was very good as well as the apple turnover. When I’m in the area again, def will be stopping by again.

In all the years I’ve lived here in Greensboro, this was my first time in, and I can tell you it won’t be my last. The caramelized onion feta quiche was superb! I loved the service. I made passing conversation with several patrons. A good place to sit and unwind.

I’m a regular—it’s hard to be impartial. I give them 5 stars, the only drawback is that my favorite goods are not always there.

They rotate some vegan items in and out, so it may be there it may not—but it never disappoints either way.
