WHAT HAS MADE SPRING CREEK A FAVORITE DINING DESTINATION SINCE 1980? First and foremost are our delicious barbeque specialties – ribs, brisket, chicken, sausage, pulled pork, ham and turkey. With pits fired up daily at all of our locations, we get up early to hickory-smoke all of your favorites, and our ribs are then chargrilled for extra flavor. We feature a homemade BBQ sauce, made from our own secret recipe, fries and okra cooked to order, fresh salads with homemade dressings, giant loaded baked potatoes and the best home-baked bread you’ll ever taste. We can proudly say that we are still slow smoking after all these years!

Highly recommend! We normally dine in. This time, we picked up the food to enjoy at home. Absolutely everything was perfect with our order. This is one of the best places for brisket. They have excellent service, and we loved the marble brisket with bark on it. It was spot on. We ordered extra rolls which we love too. Kudos to whoever was working tonight. They did a phenomenal job.

Food is fine but expensive. $23+ for “Brisket Lunch Special” w/drink. Once known for serving fresh bread at the table. I had to go to the counter and ask for bread. When I saw fresh bread come out the employee took potatoes to the kitchen first before serving bread. There were only 4 tables sat at lunch (hmmm?). Fresh bread was offered to two tables on one side of the room and the tables on my side were completely ignored, not once, but twice. Second time there were a total of 5 tables sat. Employee went to two. I don’t see myself coming back. There are better values in the area. All that being said, the food quality is solid. The value and service is not. Staff is not rude. They just don’t want to be here.

I visited this location today while purchasing BBQ for the Super Bowl and witnessed a deeply unprofessional interaction that deserves attention from ownership and management.

Date & Time of Incident: February 8, 2026 at approximately 11:55 AM

An older customer was picking up his order when a manager approached him regarding an additional charge for sauce. The issue was not the policy itself, but the manner in which it was communicated. The manager spoke in a loud, abrupt, and condescending tone, creating an unnecessarily uncomfortable and confrontational situation.

The customer calmly explained that he has been a loyal patron for over 20 years and is a local teacher who has supported this business consistently. Rather than addressing the situation with respect or discretion, the manager escalated it publicly. The interaction disrupted the atmosphere of the restaurant and made other customers, myself included, uncomfortable.

I even offered to pay for the additional charge in order to de-escalate the situation, but by that point the customer had understandably lost trust and requested a refund, choosing to take his business elsewhere despite his order already being prepared.

This was an avoidable loss of a long-standing customer and reflects poorly on leadership at this location. Customer service is not just about enforcing policies, but about how those policies are communicated. Unfortunately, this manager demonstrated a lack of professionalism, emotional awareness, and customer-facing skills expected in a management role.

I would appreciate a response from ownership or upper management. Without accountability or corrective action, I will also be taking my business elsewhere, despite having been a loyal customer for over four years.

Food was ok, better than the one on IH-10. Food servers were not very friendly. Hurry up and order even though no one was behind us. The pork ribs lacked meat and the corn on the cob tasted like the kind you buy (frozen) at a grocery store. The green beans are excellent. The fresh baked rolls are very good. The brisket was ok, but not great.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years since it’s so close to my house and food ia good. Although service is always good, I decided to write a review this time because Tony was extremely nice and helpful. He made us feel special.

It was decent, but for the price, I won’t be going back. I spent $140. I ordered everything on the menu. BBQ ribs had great flavor, but lacked tenderness. Brisket flavor was lacking, and it was dry. Chicken was the one of the best things there. The sides were just OK. Mac n Cheese was watery. 1 week later, about $70 worth of food was wasted because not even mu kids wanted to eat it. The links were my favorite. I tried the pepper and regular. Cooked very well and it wasn’t dry. I made a link sandwich a couple says later. It was awesome! The bread, OH THE BREAD!!! BEST THING SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME!!! I couldn’t get enough of it.

⭐️ 1 out of 5 – Extremely Disappointing

It’s been a long time since I’ve had such a bad experience at a restaurant. The service was terrible — no personality, no smiles, and not a single check-in during the entire meal.

The food was even worse. The brisket was dry and completely lacking flavor, the ribs were dry with only mediocre seasoning, and the baked beans tasted like they came straight out of a can. The mac and cheese seemed boxed, and even the hot rolls had no seasoning or flavor.

I honestly don’t understand how this place stays open. There were hardly any people dining in, and now I see why. Save your $90 and take your family somewhere else. Definitely not recommended.

Sep 2023: pretty much over it! Asked for chopped meat no fat. Fries are never fully cooked. Okra is always over cooked. For $24.00 I just expect better service. So it’s time for me to just leave them alone for good. Pickles are still great

UPDATE 2023: I love there pickles man they have the best pickles lol! I swear! I got the brisket and sausage today. For $20.00 I didn’t feel it was bough meat. It’s pictured below! But the meat is very good, I will say that. And I love there bbq sauce it’s really good. Fries are ok, not the biggest fan but…. So there you have it

The customer service experience could definitely be better. The bread with the butter is freaking awesome!!!! The salads look really good as well. I get the chop brisket sandwich and fries (fried foods are always made to order so they are fresh). One thing I do miss is there spicy bbq sauce it was the best I’ve had in Texas and they took it away. But always a good experience with the food.
