Amazing spot but small warning, arrive with patience this place can be a bit slow on the weekends, I waited 25 mins for two bagel sandwhich’s that being said well worth the wait! The food here is really really tasty, the bagels are delish and it left an impression. I got the pimento cheese and the Reuben, highly recommend them both, want to try a normal bagel that doesn’t require the griddle to test the speed next time! Great spot!

I’ve been wanting to try this place since the day it opened, and when I found out they offered a gluten-free bagel, I was thrilled. Sadly, that excitement lasted about two bites. The gluten-free bagel was $16 worth of pure disappointment – dry, rubbery, and with the flavor profile and look of a little tikes kitchen toy (Don’t ask me how I know that taste). No cream cheese included, and the strawberry spread was more of a rumor than a reality.
On the bright side, the Frittata Scramble itself was great—plenty of eggs and bacon, a nice tomato slice, and solid jam. If you can eat gluten, you’ll probably love this. But if you’re gluten-free, bring your own bagel, and your own cream cheese too.

Love this place! Their bagels are top-notch. My absolute favorite is the rosemary olive oil bagel. Love the salty, crunchy feel to it. All of their bagels are freshly made in their wood fire oven, and you can absolutely taste the difference. We can walk there so we go at least once a week!

Best bagels in charleston. They have that soft interior with slightly crisp exterior. Their flavors are great and are always willing to give you the hot one out of the oven. Everything is cooked fresh right in front of you as you wait basically.
Coffee was average with not very bold flavors. Great vibe overall and decent parking! Handful of tables outside as well.

Never a bad experience! Fresh bagels everyday and you get a good amount and quality of food for what you pay for. Both inside and outside of the restaurant is cute and friendly. Staff always have a pleasant attitude. New favorite place!

When Spread opened, I really enjoyed it. Quality was there, portions were solid. About a year into being in Mt. P, they no longer have any quality control nor do they care about their product. If they’re any bit busy, you’ll see a lot of people asking for a remake.
Don’t get me wrong, it still tastes ok, but after you make the bagel, you’re just putting ingredients on. The time before last, they didn’t put any cream cheese on my bagel. Then this time, very little and the bagel was somewhat hard/dry. The bagels were softer and bigger when they initially opened.
The sandwich attached was $17 with tax and without tip. I understand lox are expensive, but this took only a few bites to put down. Regarding the picture with my hand for reference, I’m 5’7” so my hands are not huge.
For $17, i’d like a proper sandwich. The kids in there are trying hard and are sweet, but they could probably use some direction from an older, or at least someone with more experience. I feel stupid writing a review this length, or a review at all about bagels, but after last time and now this, it has become insulting. I won’t be back and I would recommend that people try Ruby’s on Coleman Blvd.

Really great bagel spot. I had never heard of wood fired bagels before and this was yummy. Crispy on the outside and soft in middle… tasty variety of many flavors. They have the wood oven right there in store and also have plenty of delicious coffee drinks available. The staff were friendly and we got our food quickly. We will be back.

Came here as a suggestion from a friend. I’m by no means a bagel snob, but wanted to try a Montreal style bagel. Went there on Thursday morning at 9am, and got a bacon, egg, cheese on everything bagel and a plain bagel with honey pistachio. The BEC was delightful: flavorful, salty, and tons of egg and bacon! It was gone too fast …
The plain bagel was somewhat of a disappointment: it was tough, and difficult to chew. The cream cheese was amazing! But I couldn’t finish the bagel – it was too dry even with a fair schmear of cream cheese. I wanted it to work- but it wasn’t for me.
The service was top notch! The coffee had run out so the employee made me a brand new batch. Very courteous and patient. I would go back just for the service. Overall I would say I would try again but maybe not my favorite.

Food here is phenomenal and the staff here know how to make the best sandwiches and spreads. Im disappointed to see the negative reviews- everybody has “bad days” and to let it make such an impact seems deceitful to the restaurant. Food is worth the wait whether it be 2 minutes or 20. I really hope people can see how bright this place shines and it can make someone’s day better. Dont be fooled by the low star reviews and ratings. Spread Bagelry deserves more credit than it is getting. So what are you waiting for? Order a bagel and watch your life somehow become more meaningful
