We liked the food and menu here. It was better than Skylands. The view is about the same but the taproom has access to a patio which is a plus. Dogs are welcome at the outside tables.

The food looked amazing, and I was so hungry! I sat down after my family had already ordered, but before the received their food. Our waitress, or I guess I should say their waitress, Summer, never once acknowledged us until after my family paid their check. Then she was nice enough to ask me if we needed anything else. I wanted a large lunch for two, plus dog meals. We ended up leaving with everyone else and went to the Wayside to actually get lunch.

While staying in the park we ate here on multiple occasions during our stay. The location, surroundings and balcony are excellent. Breakfast is good, dinner somewhat less so with quite varying quality across the board – we tried a range of items across our group and reviews ranged from “fine” to “not great”. Prices are quite high for what you get but you’re a captive audience with few options so this makes some sense. Staff are polite and friendly.

The food here is really good. The service is above good service. The waitresses are friendly and attentive. There is really nothing to complain about. The price is like you’re in Manhattan, so take that into consideration, but you will definitely enjoy your meal.

Great setting in old CCC lodge. Service was good and food was tasty. Disappointed that they didn’t have at least one dedicated vegan / plant-based option. The menu indicated that the (V) icon meant “vegan”, but the only icon on the menu was next to a portobello mushroom add-on to a salad. The server was friendly and went to ask in the kitchen if there was anything vegan or at least non-dairy and she said the only things are salad if we take off the chicken / cheese or the pasta without sauce. It is too bad that at a National Park, of all places, they don’t have at least one (more environmentally friendly) fully plant-based option on the menu. Dry pasta or simple salad is not so nice. There was however non-dairy mango sorbet for dessert and that was delicious, with huge scoops too. Overall we did have a nice meal and the service was great.

This was tricky for me to rate. Ultimately, this location deserves a 5 start rating simply because if I could give the atmosphere and view 20 stars, I would. The tomato bisque was absolutely phenomenal. The chicken Ceasar salad was terrible. The service was friendly but slow, especially for a day that there were only 3 tables eating. This place is not going to be a foodie destination, although for where it is and what it is, I do believe it is an absolute, MUST visit. I can not wait to go back and try a different dish and give them another chance. The next time I visit, I will be sitting outside on the deck at one of the high tables that overlooks the mountains and valleys. If you are near Big Meadow and you are hungry or want a glass of wine and you do not stop here, you have made a mistake! Go try it out!

The service was excellent! One of the best Cobb salads and macaroni and cheese dishes I’ve ever had. Wings looked legitimate.

The restaurant fills up fast so get there early. Above average quality food. Great presentation. Friendly staff. Great ambiance. Outside deck to enjoy the incredible view and sunset. Large living room area with fireplace to sit and relax. There is also a downstairs bar with a food market and live music. This overall is a very cool place.
