Welcome to Sporty’s Wing Shack ~ Home of Michigan’s hottest wings! We also have delicious south-of-the-border selections, specialty sandwiches and awesome burgers, as well as daily soups and specials. During the summer months, we fire up the smoker on the weekends. The BBQ menu changes weekly, but whether it’s ribs, chicken or the best darn brisket nachos north of Mexico, our smokehouse selection is guaranteed to make your mouth water!

I’ve never been here, and I’m immediately impressed with the atmosphere. It’s Christmas time, and kind voices are jabbering cheerily and laughing. It’s always fun to have those shining spirits in the bar.
Looking forward to the food – I’m going to update this as soon as we try our entrees. We’re splitting the chimi and an order of boneless. Let’s go Sporty’s! I’ve heard good things. ❤️

The fries were good. Had to wait 25 minutes for our entrees (Sunday afternoon). The Cuban sandwich had over-smoked dry ham and dry pork; hard to eat. The chimichanga was burnt. The appetizer wings came after the entrees. The wings were supposed to be a 7 level of heat but were more like 1 or 2 with the thin sauce pooling at the bottom of the basket and not sticking to the wings. But the fries were good….

I drove past this place a few years ago when visiting the Pinconning area. I actually took a picture of the place because I knew that I wanted to try it some day. Well yesterday was the day.
MLive actually wrote an article about this place saying that this place had the 4th best wings in Michigan. That definitely contributed in my decision to try this place.
So I went in and sat at the bar. The atmosphere was very nice. It kind of had an up north country feel with a somewhat of a chicken theme.
I looked at that menu and it was a bit overwhelming with the amount of sauces to choose from. One thing that I thought was really neat was that there were about 15 different levels of heat.
I decided to order 7 wings with 4 sauces. I also got some waffle fries to dip the sauces in. So I got the medium, Detroit Lions, skin head, and the challenger, which was their 2nd to hottest one. Ranking the sauce flavor from best to worst, I have to go with: The skin head, which was darker and had a zesty bold taste, the challenger, which was hot af but had a vinegary tone and a hot pepper taste, the medium, which was kind of like red hot but thicker and more flavorful, and then the Lions sauce, which was similar to the medium sauce but a little hotter.
The service was okay. They were friendly but they did forget my waffle fries and had to wait for them to make another batch after I finished my wings. They kind of took a while to get my wings also but it was not a huge concern.
A big downfall of this place was the price. It was $25 for 7 wings and waffle fries and a few sauces. That is really steep if you ask me. The quality of the actual wings were pretty average.
Overall, the wings weren’t bad. Were they number 4 in the state like MLive suggested? I can’t say they were. Now the variety of the homemade sauces are a really cool concept. But the quality of the wings are pretty average. And it’s quite pricey too. I’ll definitely be back though to try some more sauces.

Great Food. Everything we had was excellent! Owner even gave us free smoked poppers and a half slab of ribs to try cause we didnt order any! Very Good and we will be back

I got 2 different flavors of bone in wings and wasn’t a fan of them. One of them tasted like cherry syrup and the other had very little flavor. The service wasn’t all that either, we had to ask several times for refills and napkins before we would get them. This place had maybe 5 tables with people at them and still had to wait about an hour for our food to come out.

Stock up on cheeses, and then grab lunch here. Big, juicy wings with so many sauce choices! They also have fried shrimp that’s great for non-wing lovers wanting to try their sauces. The burgers and sandwiches at the other tables looked good (we didn’t order these though, maybe next time).

This is hands down the best place to get wings! The chicken is perfectly fried crispy then tossed in one of their amazing wing sauces. We’ve tried so many and haven’t found one we don’t like.
They have great burgers and fries too. Highly recommend if you’re in the area – or even if you aren’t!

One of those places you drive by and say “we gotta stop there sometime”. Mentioned this to the server and she said she hears that all the time. So I’m here to say just do it. Hubby had wings, I had tacos. Both delish. Service was great. Loved the vibe and this is added to our must stop places now. We’re about an hour south so it would be a nice “Sunday drive” type outting. Highly recommend.

Stopped here Friday 6/9 on our way up north. First time going there. Hubby had wings & I had the burger with homemade chips. Everything delicious! Especially the homemade chips!!! Yum!

Food was delicious and hot. You have to be very careful if you’re going to order some of the wings as the sauces are extremely warm or hot. My steak & cheese Philly sandwich was good, not overly juicy and greasy. It was quite enjoyable. The homemade fries and chips are delicious. My friends burger was good except for the waitress never asked him how he wanted it cooked so it came overcooked for my friend. So be sure to tell the waitress or waiter how you want your burger cooked. The drinks were good. They do have IPAs. The interior decoration is outstanding and enjoyable to sit and look around and see all the different items they have on the walls. I definitely will be stopping here again to try some of the other dishes that they have available.
