Drove clear here. Website says they open at 11. No one is here. I tried calling no answer. Very disappointing. I do not recommend coming here from out of town, unless you call prior to, hopefully someone answers. No one answered when i called today.

We had dinner at the Sportsman in Hawarden tonight. We enjoyed how cheerful and friendly everyone was, we also asked for suggestions on what to eat, and we were very happy with the recommendations. The food was delicious, after we finished we were tempted with dessert and again very satisfied. Thank you for the great service and meal, we will return soon.

Great food and had agreat time bowling with my family. We enjoyed our time here and have returned time and time again. The staff is very friendly and helpful with whatever you need. And the bar is a favorite local hangout as it it’s always completely packed full of people.

We had a company employee outing here, and it was run very well. Our employees really enjoyed bowling and socializing and we had great food for a great price. Would highly recommend scheduling your next event here!

Got into town at 10 pm. Had a long drive so thought we would have a drink and relax. Place was open and a few customers were just receiving drinks from the bartender as we walked in. Asked for a drink and were told sorry but the establishment just closing, as the 3 beers were opened for patrons that were already seated when we arrived. Assume since were not locals our business wasn’t appreciated.

I loved everything about the place!!!! Never been there in my life and everybody knew me!!! I have never felt more welcome anywhere I have ever been!!! Good food and great bowling, great family atmosphere! There were little bitty kids there all the way up to old pappy’s like my hubby!!!

Brian Engelman is a people person. Very friendly atmosphere, good food, my daughter & Granddaughter had a blast bowling. I’m so grateful for the Sportsman’s Lanes, there isn’t much to do in Hawarden and knowing you can go down and bowl plus eat for less than $50 is a great price. I’ll keep taking my family there for a lot of fun.

Super fun. I love the food here, and it’s a great place to hang out. With tons of lanes to bowl, it never gets too crowded. In the bar, there’s virtual golf, pool, and more.
