Overall it was an “ok” place to stay, rooms were not clean, found a tampon (new) behind freezer, toilets had pee on them still, the heaters look turn of the century and had been Jerry rigged to keep working, and the water had a nasty sulfur smell… but the beds were clean. It’s $220+ a night after taxes/fees… and expected a TON more for the price, kinda felt gouged due to location. Food was a bit high priced for what it was, burgers were definitely over cooked, but pot roast was amazing!! Pizzas were good, Walleye was good, but again over priced… Breakfast was flat nasty, hotel breakfasts are better, watery eggs, cheesy hash browns that were underdone, and bacon was under cooked. They don’t clean the rooms day to day (again for the price? Should be spotless), and just had a run downess to it all.

The food was pretty good. I had the rib-eye steak, which I really enjoyed. The fries and Texas toast were good, too. I also ordered the portabella mushrooms with cheese sauce as an appetizer, and it was different than I expected. They came breaded and fried. The cheese sauce didn’t compliment the mushrooms well. I normally love this sort of thing, but I don’t recommend it here. It was not really very good. My husband really enjoyed his full rack of ribs. As for the atmosphere, there were some loud, drunk people. We even changed where we were sitting because of them. There were two young boys eating with their family, but one of the loud, drunk men used the f-word repeatedly. You’d think people would be more mindful to not talk like that around children. Anyway, definitely hurt the atmosphere score. As for the service, it was good. The young lady who was working alone as both bartender and waitress was doing a fine job even though she was busy.

Food is usually very worth the price! Service can be off at times but still worth it for the food. Beef tips with a sweet creamy bourbon sauce and wild rice is a favorite.

First time visiting. Based on what was delivered to our table, I ordered the “burnt” southwest egg rolls and my friend ordered the “burnt” chicken strips with the world’s smallest peice of garlic toast. I thought it was strange how the waitress just set our food on our table then walked away without saying a word. Shameful and unacceptable.

Good food, good atmosphere. Bad service. The food taste really good and the prices look really good too. But unfortunately for me and my fiance they doublecharded us for our food and drinks. They didnt even remember who ordered what and they went to every table to try to find who ordered a burger and some pickle fries. We were the last ones they checked. They literally had random people yelling out who order this food!? When they did bring us food they have us a disgusted look like somehow we were supposed to go and get the food from the cook or something. No, you are our server. And when I wrote a tip they doubled our tip as well. Do not recommend if you prefer good service and to not get ripped off.

Lovely place, been here multiple times in my life, great atmosphere, great food, great service, you may see some people say that they have bad service, but they don’t, you just have to go up and get the food yourself, how hard is that.

Service was awful! Our waitress was rude, as we had never been there before. We had heard it was great food, so thought why not. We had asked about drinks she wouldn’t suggest anything. Never asked me if I wanted a different drink. Got upset when we didn’t order right away. Kept serving others before us. Will NEVER to back!! Do not recommend!!
