So let me start off with i grew up in the dalles in the late 70s through 1991 and I have always held onto my fond memories of my family going here for large birthday gatherings. I always remember the taco pizza! My lord it was bursting with flavor. The meat was seasoned to perfection, the beans style sauce was delicious then it was topped with shredded lettuce, shredded cheese and sliced tomatoes and when it was served to you it came with a pie slice shaped serving spatula. However, today I met my family from out of town for lunch, I was so excited to have that taco pizza I remembered so well to only receive a bland, tasteless pizza that cost over $40! The meat had no flavor, no seasoning whatsoever that resembled that once delicious taco pizza. Now I have worked in pizza and this pizza needs a few things, such as….
Add taco seasoning to the meat
Add some sort of salsa blend to the refried bean style sauce, NOT WATER
Add back the sliced tomato on top and stop putting diced, they fall off
Remove half of the chips you top it with, they don’t add any flavor. C’mon y’all get back to basics with the taco pizza.
Now here’s a positive to follow up the small negative…
The service was amazing! Everyone one on top of their game. I do miss the table service but who cares. My family from out of town spoke very highly about the salad and clam chowder they had and how wonderful it tasted. We’ll be back, not for taco pizza until I see an announcement of a formula change on it. Be blessed!

The entire atmosphere of Spookys is spot on and what every restaurant should strive for. Friendly staff, clean and fun environment and great food! A mistake was made on my order. Obviously not ideal but it was handled professionally. They did not give away the house while compensating me for the error but made it right. In this day and age I am grateful to find such great service. Well done Spooky’s. We will be back!!

A great place to bring the family for an excellent slice of pizza. The cheese is nice and gooey, and the crust is nice an crispy. An outstanding pie from a terrific pizzeria, prompt and friendly service. Highly recommend, will stop by again when passing through The Dalles.

The pizza and wings are pretty good. The seating isn’t very comfortable, and there is no table service, you just have to order at the counter. I would definitely order take out from here but I wouldn’t dine in again, the floor plan around the seating is kind of congested and the lack of table service was frustrating since there was only one counter to order and if you wanted anything, even a simple drink refill you have to stand in line for 10 minutes just to pay then go to the next counter and wait another 3 minutes for someone to finally pour our drink.

The only reason 4 stars instead of 5 is because they don’t have Alfredo sauce in order to substitute it for marinara/ pizza sauce. We had crazy totts which were awesome and my pizza was on cauliflower crust, pesto sauce, shrimp , bfst bacon , fresh mushrooms, green onion, red and green bell peppers, and extra cheese.
My husband had cauliflower crust, pesto sauce, pepperoni, fresh mushrooms, German sausage, smoked oysters, shrimp, anchovies, extra anchovies, and extra cheese.

The food is GOOD! I got a Hefty Henry with fries. Im picky about food, and I was impressed. My friend got a burger with Swiss and mushrooms. She really liked it. The place was super clean. Someone was always wiping tables, and came and got our plates.. Someone else was out with a sweeper. . It’s super cozy.. And, I don’t think you can beat the prices. Definitely a forever favorite!

We’ve driven by this place for years and finally stopped for supper. Firstly, the food is hot and fast. I’m super picky when it comes to fries and I’ll tell you they were hot, tasty and plentiful. I had the bigfoot burger it was delicious but so big, I could not finish it (this is usually not a problem since I have a large pouch). It was “colossal” and lived up to its name, just like the legendary north American Ape. My wife had the bacon cheeseburger and I’ve never seen her eat so much. She usually stops when she is full but not at Spooky’s. Going forward we know where to stop on I-84!
