We absolutely loved our experience here! The seafood was incredibly fresh — you can truly taste the quality in every bite. Our server, Jay, was outstanding. She was friendly, informative, and went above and beyond to make sure we understood the menu and got exactly what we wanted. Her recommendations were spot-on and really enhanced our meal.

We actually started our evening at another restaurant nearby but didn’t get a great vibe, so we decided to leave and come here instead — and we couldn’t have been happier with that decision. The atmosphere, the service, and especially the food were all amazing from start to finish.

Highly recommend this place if you love fresh seafood and exceptional service. We’ll definitely be back!

My wife and I visited Atlanta to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary, and it was only right that we returned to one of our favorite spots from when we lived here years ago: Spondivits. Even after all this time, it remains one of our absolute favorites!

We had a wonderful time and practically had the whole place to ourselves. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, but I have to give a special shoutout to Ms. Ebony. I was in a playful, lighthearted mood, and she completely indulged me; she was so down-to-earth and warm to both my wife and me.

We started things off with some shots; a Lemon Drop with Grey Goose for my wife and a Banana shot for me. We followed those up with some Mai Tais and Bob Marleys. For our meal, we went with the Snow Crab and regular Crab buckets, and they were just as good as we remembered.

Pro-tip: They do have valet, but you have to drive around to the back. The valet was very helpful and even accepts Cash App for tips. If you’re looking for great seafood and a welcoming atmosphere, Spondivits is still the place to be!

Kent at Spondivtics was absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked in, his professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail stood out. He took the time to explain everything clearly, made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process, and genuinely cared about delivering great results.

What I appreciated most was how thorough and patient he was. You can tell he takes pride in his work and truly wants the best outcome for his clients. The experience felt smooth, professional, and honestly exceeded my expectations.

If you’re looking for someone who is skilled, trustworthy, and truly passionate about what they do, I highly recommend Kent at Spondivtics. I will definitely be returning!

I visited this spot 20 years ago and it didn’t stick out to me, and after yesterday I know why. The food was absolutely BLAND and TERRIBLE. I ordered the shrimp and lobster bucket. Establishments need to understand you still have to season seafood not just pour some old bay on the top. Also why would yall half a half of a lobster tail? Weird. My son’s girlfriend ordered fried shrimp and left the entire basket on the table not even worthy to take home. The fries went straight from grease to plate not a thought of salt being added. My husband ordered some steak mess that was rancid but they put a dash of lemon utterly gross. And the pricing do not match the food. 9.00 for a side of broccoli again ridiculous. Someone came to table and asked about the food no one at the table could give the pleasant lie. It was nasty, terrible and unseasoned. The best thing they offer are their shots and our server Joi was a joy. If you like blowing money and being disappointed and underwhelmed and no seasoning this is your spot.

It was a really nice place to visit once we landed. Valet only for free, the staff was friendly. Shout out to the waffle house costume. He was fine and funny lol. Our host was festive and polite. My family was pleased with the service. Will go back.

Ebony was amazing! Very attentive and friendly. I only came to have a drink and didn’t know that Monday had a DJ, who was killing it! Made everything even better. What a great Monday night! Thanks!

Always a great time. Valentine’s Day wait wasn’t even that bad! We always get the lobster buckets (require the least amount of work since they slice it open). Usually have a couple blue moons with my meal, but opted for margarita instead. Waitress mixed up our check (first time this has happened here) and immediately fixed it with grace and humility. If I stayed on the south side I’d be there more often!

A friend said, “Let’s go to lunch and get out of the house.” Sure, why not. We were originally on our way to Hapeville, but she saw this spot on the way and changed her mind. I have lived here 19 years, and I have never been to Spondivits. The long line of people standing outside always made me go elsewhere. There was no line today. Perfect.

We were seated in a booth that had open windows to the outside. The place is very rustic, like a hole in the wall. The sever brought us the menus and took our drink orders. They make some really good brewed iced tea. It was sweet and not watered down. We ordered an appetizer of Fried Calamari and raw Oysters. My friend enjoyed her oysters. The Calamari was deep fried, but it had a light batter. In my opinion, it needed a different batter and some seasoning.

Next, we had seafood platters and some crab cakes. The platter was in a small plastic tray. It looked like it wasn’t a lot of food, but there was quite a bit there. It consisted of shrimp, oysters, and clams, all fried with French fries. Again, the food lacked seasoning, but it was edible. The crab cakes were super tasty and filled with butter.

I was not impressed by the food. I really wanted to like it but in my opinion the prices do not compare to the quality of the dishes. The food is expensive. Please think about using some seasoning other than salt.

Also, the parking is free valet only and located behind the restaurant at the bottom of the hill.

Kent was our waiter and he was excellent—very polite, attentive, and quick on his feet. He made sure our food came out fast and checked on us just the right amount. His positive attitude really added to the experience. The food itself was a 10/10—fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Everything came out hot and exactly how we ordered it. Overall, the service and food both exceeded expectations. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Visiting from out of town and the minute I walked into this place I knew I had hit gold. It was perfect! Really comfortable, super chill and definitely not stuffy. I sat at the bar where Packer fan Kent took great care of me. He was friendly, made great conversation, never let my beer go dry and guided me through the menu perfectly. My French Dip sandwich was huge and absolutely delicious. I loved it here and if I ever get back to the Atlanta area I will not miss stopping by for another great meal. Thanks Kent!
